Guest guest
Yesterday I was told by a duke Dr that free T-3 in meaningless when I showed him mine and he went into a big dissertation. Have you done a reverse T-3? compare my results to yours tsh=.484 (.450-4.500 free T-3=3.5pg/ml (2.0-4.4) free T-4=1.49 ng/dL (.82-1.77) RT-3=545 pg/ml (90-350 ) my tsh looks ok. but is it with that Rt-3? that's why tsh is also meaningless. I was told by dr Howenstein to take 50 mg/day for 6 months. On Sat, 11 Feb 2012 09:58:17 -0500, farmhouse34 <farmhouse34@...> wrote: > Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can help me. Guest guest
Hi I didn't take my armour the morning I got my blood work done. I ended up having to wait till about 12 noon to get my blood drawn. So it would have been about 28 hrs. Is that good or bad? > > > ** > > > > > > Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can help me. Guest guest
I haven't had a RT3 test done in a while. Probably two years ago, and it was not elevated. So will taking iodine reduce RT3? > > > Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm on armour thyroid 120 > > mg and have been for years. Guest guest
Hi ,That is what was happening with me and I was coming up with strange lab results. Then my doctor's office told me that I was supposed to be getting my labs no earlier than 6 hours after a dose and no later than 12 hours after a dose. Either direction can give you inaccurate results. I had been getting mine close to 26 hours after my last dose. in AlaskaOn Sat, Feb 11, 2012 at 3:14 PM, farmhouse34 <farmhouse34@...> wrote: Hi I didn't take my armour the morning I got my blood work done. Guest guest
It's best to have taken your last thyroid dose 12 to 14 hours before the blood draw to test for thyroid function. For example, if your blood test is scheduled for 9 am, that means your last dose should be taken no later than 9 pm the night before. Guest guest
Hmm so I would have to take it at night then I guess. Thanks for the insight. Guest guest
If T3 only stays in your system about 12 hours, wouldn't getting labs past that mark give you incorrect T3 levels? in Alaska On Sat, Feb 11, 2012 at 3:57 PM, Kathleen Blake <kathleenblake@...> wrote: It's best to have taken your last thyroid dose 12 to 14 hours before the blood draw to test for thyroid function. Guest guest
I try to take mine about 12 to 13 hours before and it works out well this way for me. The time frame is what most doctors familiar with Natural Thyroid Hormone recommend.
