Guest guest
All - does anyone have any thoughts on the following... I understand that an iodine loading test can come back falsely high due to the iodine receptors being blocked by bromine, thus they do not detect/pick up the iodine, more is excreted, and test shows higher iodine saturation than is actually true. I fully understand that. My question is... given that the above can occur, would you agree that it could make sense that the very same thing could occur with the simplistic iodine patch test. I know that the patch test is not a fully accurate way to test iodine in the body, but it does seem to have some relative value. I am thinking that the same can occur with the patch test as with the urine loading test... false high. All thoughts appreciated.
