Guest guest
I have a liter water bottle that I add about a 1/2 tsp. unrefined salt and keep it with me all the time. I just sip throughout the day and for me it is more tolerable this way. When I refill the bottle I just add another 1/2 tsp. of salt. I am not a fan of salt, but after doing this for awhile, I have found that I don't like to drink plain water anymore. ~~ > > So, I've finally added the daily salt to my regimen. Guest guest
If you read carefully, you will see that is talking about 'daily salt', not the Salt Loading Protocol, which is when one drinks lots of water until they urinate. Let's be careful not to mix these two things up. Thanks! Kathleen moderator Re: Daily salt Hi , The key for me is to not take it all at once. I do best putting the 1/2 teaspoon in a bowl and taking some throughout the day and following that by water each time. No nausea at all. in Alaska On Wed, Feb 1, 2012 at 7:26 PM, Gruber <choosethisday@...> wrote: So, I've finally added the daily salt to my regimen. Guest guest
Can you just add that amount to food instead? Guest guest
Does anyone know if the salt will be just as effective if administered by a daily enema? My health situation requires that anyway. Maybe I could skip the oral 1/2 tsp.
Guest guest
I don't recommend that you do this. You need the salt throughout your system. Yes I know that anything administered throught the lower bowel is absorbed, but not in the same way. I'd put a pinch in, but not your daily supplement amount. I hope that you are taking probiotics, which a daily enema will be disturbing and washing away. -- moderator On 10 Feb 2012 at 8:26, Gruber wrote: > Does anyone know if the salt will be just as effective if administered > by a daily enema? Guest guest
I don't think it would work well anyway. There was a case where a family was stuck out in the middle of the ocean without water for a long time. The mother, a nurse, kept everyone alive by administering sea water into everyone's lower colon. Apparently the colon was acting as a filter and keeping the salt from entering.
