Guest guest
Hi all, I just purchased the 5% Lugols and I am sure somewhere this has been discussed. But what is the amount in 1 drop of this solution? I am currently taking 6- 12.5mg tabs of Iodoral and wanted to start taking 1/2 my doses in the tablet (Iodoral) form and 1/2 from the Lugols drops. Second question is I wanted to start implementing Iodine for my son, he is ADD, I have had him on many supplements to help but I am thinking the Iodine may be needed for him as well. I was giving him the drops in his water and he has been breaking out all over his hands and arms with a red, scaly, itchy rash. Any ideas? He is on the companion nutrients already. Would he be better to take the tablet form? I haven't tried the Iodoral as for him " breaking out " from it? He is also very pale, I'm thinking Anemia or Iron issues, could this be affecting his absorption? Thanks, Jody

Guest guest
5% Lugol's has 6.25mg per drop. This information is in the Guide to Supplementing that you should read. The rash is most likely a detox symptom. Lower the dose of how much you are giving him and move more slowly. Lugol's liquid is better for moving in small increments so no, Iodoral is not better-- it is the same except in a coated tablet. Stop the iodine until the rash clears up, then restart at 1 drop, no more. How much have you been giving him? Don't know about the paleness. -- On 9 Feb 2012 at 15:53, finishgirl67 wrote: > Hi all, > > I just purchased the 5% Lugols and I am sure somewhere this has been > discussed. Guest guest
Hi thanks, I knew I had read the dosage somewhere. I was giving him 1 tablet Iodoral and then I stopped that and tried 3 drops of Lugol's. I stopped again and will start back up with the 1 drop and see what happens. ThanksJody
