Hello Janet,

Please read the Guide to Supplementing with Iodine that you were sent when you joined. If you didn’t save it, go to our Files, then click on New Members Read First, then scroll down to The Guide to Supplementing with Iodine. From your questions about the rda amount, it is clear you need to read all you can in that Guide. After you have studied it, please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help!

iodine in foods

What is the iodine content in meats (am in UK)? When I look at iodine rich foods some mention meat and poultry, some just mention dairy and seafoods. If you have plenty of different forms of meat and poultry but do not have dairy or much seafish are you likely to be deficient? I see the rda is 150mcg daily - so could that be met with foods that omit dairy and seafood? TIA Janet

As Kathleen said, you need to read the Guide to Supplementing. The rda is a

joke and

totally not what the iodine protocol is about. In addition, bromide pollution

is everywhere,

and that mimics and displaces iodine in the body. So the short answer is no,

you can't get

enough just from food.
