ashwagandha or astragalus?

I need clarification. I am a member of this group and a thyroid group. I am seeing info about ashwagandha on both sights. I am trying to understand which website mentioned having taken the ashwagandha before taking iodine and experienced no detox symptoms even after taking the higher doses of iodine. Was there a mistake when ashwagandha was the herb mentioned and a correction that astragalus was instead the herb used?Thank you,Betty
