Guest guest
Lugol's used to be used to clean the teats of the cow before milking. I would not add it raw milk. You want all the benefits raw milk has to offer. Makes sure you are getting it from a good farm with clean and preferable organic practices. Buist, ND HC Re: iodine and raw milk Just curious why you want to use the iodine to kill bacteria. We drink raw milk, without any problems. We have a farmer we trust.I would wonder about the iodine denaturing the milk proteins, fats etc. It is my understanding milk has its own properties to kill bacteria within itself. Wonder if the iodine would upset that balance.I think it is when a bunch of bacteria is introduced at milking that you have the need for pasteurization. Thus a trusted farmer is pretty necessary.Just wondering...>> Hi> > Has anyone added iodine to raw milk to kill bacteria? Guest guest
This website for raw milk is dated 2000 and lots of changes have happened since then regarding availability. I know that my two closest addresses for getting raw milk no longer sell it.Peg From: MikeM <mmmelody47@...> "iodine " <iodine > Sent: Sunday, January 15, 2012 10:20 AM Subject: Re: iodine and raw milk Here's a great site that lists raw milk farms by state: http://www.realmilk.com/where07.html
