Guest guest
I just read that iodine is a blood thinner. So, is there a recommended protocol for women who are pre-menopausal? I already have very heavy menstrual bleeding which has resulted in anemia. I went on low doses of Nascent Iodine (6 mg/day) in November when I also started on Compounded Progesterone Cream to address my Estrogen Dominance and heavy bleeding issues. My first cycle after starting these two was *much* lighter and very manageable. What a nice change! I've slowly upped my iodine to still low levels but higher than in November (1 Iodoral and 2-3 drops of Lugols transdermally). My last two cycles, the bleeding has been back to heavier but different (much less clotting) prior to the iodine. Is it possible this is the iodine and that I should avoid iodine at certain times of the month? Or is it possible that my Progesterone Cream needs to be adjusted up? Or both?
