Guest guest
Gene, Well, maybe not "sacrifice". In the nearly 12 years I've been training my own brain, I've worked with almost every protocol I've heard of (though some pretty briefly, since my brain already did very well what they were designed to train). So maybe instead of sacrificing, you just need to put off a little. The protocols are not ends in themselves. They move the brain toward the ability to sustain a state or activation level that is valuable in performing specific types of tasks (from calculating quickly and accurately to communing with the spirit). Start by identifying the things you would most like, in your own life, to be able to do faster, better or more easily, look at your activation patterns and identify those which keep you from attaining what you seek. Then train to change your brain's capacity to do that. That makes brain training powerful and exciting and reinforcing. Dancing around the head just makes it a game. Pete -----Original Message-----From: Gene [mailto:genedoug@...]Sent: Tuesday, April 29, 2003 7:08 PM Subject: TLC The discussion was something of a relief to me. I see protocols that seem contradictory, and wonder, "why can't I have them all?" But if one says theta goes down, and another says it goes up, it seems I couldn't do both. Now it appears I can't. I have to choose what outcome I want, and sacrifice the others. Thanks, Gene
Guest guest
I too, Superman, had a few remissions and that was quite a few years ago. I was only on Prednisone, like Tricia. Guess in the olden days, doctors didn't know very much on how to treat Stills and probably, most of them never even heard of it. Both my Rheumatologists did not. I'm still educating them! ) xxoo Mi. Guest guest
The first drug free remission was 2 years. The only drug prescribed was steroids. The second drug free remission lasted 5 years. Guest guest
Its not that I am living in fear I am just a realist. I know my fight with this disease is never over and I also know that one can not win a war without proper intelligence. I am the type to soak up as much info as possible in an effort to cut the enemy off before he can attack. The only way to keep one step ahead is to kick him when he is down and make sure he hasn't got the enregy to resurface. So I am asking you for any information about your flare in an effort to stay one step ahead of my enemy. If you are not comfortable sharing I understand. Thank you SM >From: " TLC " <2aliens@...> >Reply-Stillsdisease ><Stillsdisease > >Subject: " superman " >Date: Mon, 2 Jun 2003 11:12:31 -0500 (Central Standard Time) > >Please don't live in fear that the " dragon " could >come back anytime...it may never come back again. > >Congrats for getting off those steroids!! > >~~tricia~~ _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: smart spam protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail

Guest guest
SM, I'll share any info I have, doesn't bother me at all. You already know one way to stay ahead of the enemy is to know what or who(the "dragon" in this case) the enemy is, and his tactics. If you notice yourself becoming extremely fatigued, and/or (this is a biggy) stressed beyond belief for some reason, usually a personal one...keep awake for signs of the Stills coming back. It was *super stress* that woke up the dragon in my case, and he decided to stay. ..though I think he's realizing after all these years that *I have him, he doesn't have me.* (is it okay to refer to the dragon as a "him?") ~~tricia~~ *********************************************************************** -- Re: TLC Its not that I am living in fear I am just a realist. Guest guest
Surprise, surprise! When you go to their site, through that link, there is a big ad for Gardisil, think that has something to do with the programming? Hmmm...I wonder. Sara ---- cosmic kitty <thecatinthetree@...> wrote: ============= I occasionally watch the baby shows on TLC. Yesterday I turned them on and foubnd that they have started a new thing; they call it the Baby Block and now have some announcers talk in between the commercials, baby related stuff and what not (some other channels do this, dinner and a movie or movie and a makeover, etc) Well the topic was vaccinations yesterday, and I was just horrified at what I heard. ( Not surprised, mind you) They were saying " well, we don't like taking our kids to get vaccinated, they cry and it hurts, but it is for their own good, better that than them getting sick. it's not pleasant but we Must do it. " One of the hosts even said, " I feel so guilty when I take them for their shots! " No kidding, I thought. At the end of this segment they asked the viewers to go to their website and write in comments, vax stories. Good! I intend to write them something, and thought I'd post something here so that maybe more anti-vax ppl could shed some light on these people. here is the link. looks like you have to sign up to post anything on the forum http://tlc.discovery.com/guides/family/tlc-baby-block/tlc-baby- block.html I mean, it's The Learning Channel! come on..!
