Guest guest
Hi Melody, If you have ascorbic acid powder (vitamin C crystals ), you can sprinkle it on the fabric and add water and it will remove the stain. If you don’t have the crystals in loose form, open up a Vitamin C capsule and use that. Best, Kathleen moderator How to remove iodine stains? Hi all,I guess this is an inevitable question: Is there any way to remove iodine stains from fabric? I had a clumsy moment, but at least this is nylon fabric, not cotton, which stains much worse. I have kept it wet in hopes that would help. Thanks,Melody
Guest guest
Or crush a tablet! Ascorbic acid or calcium ascorbate will work-- probably other forms too-- it converts the brown elemental iodiNe into the clear potassium iodiDe so you can't see the stain anymore. I use it when I get it on my skin and need to clean up. --V On 13 Feb 2012 at 8:26, Melody Hartley wrote: > Hi all, > > I guess this is an inevitable question: Is there any way to remove > iodine stains from fabric? Guest guest
Thanks Kathleen and ! That worked, though I had to leave it sit a while with the ascorbic acid powder on the stain. Yaay!
