 A good opportunity to say avoid magnesium oxide, too.  It is poorly absorbed (only about 4%, so you'd have to take piles of it to actually *get* any mag) AND it's a powerful laxative.  Milk of Magnesia is Mg Oxide solution.

 Yes, Mg citrate can be laxative, but dose is huge compared to MgOx.--
