Guest guest
Sarina,Have you had your thyroid levels checked recently? Not sure why you are thinking of stopping the NatureThroid? Temps are only part of the picture of health. I take both Lugol's and Armour with no issues. in AlaskaOn Sun, Feb 26, 2012 at 8:15 PM, sarina511 <sarina511@...> wrote: Hi again, I have looked through the new member files and cannot find the answer, so sorry to be a bother here. Guest guest
Yes, Please do not stop taking your NatureThroid if it has been prescribed for you. Feel free to start taking Lugol's. They are complementary, not one or the other. You need the iodine, and you need the NatureThroid. -- moderator On 26 Feb 2012 at 21:21, Hidden Jewel wrote: > > > > Sarina, > > Have you had your thyroid levels checked recently? Guest guest
Yes you need to continue. You should never change two things at once. Try the iodine and then if it changes your need for thyroid medication you can discuss it with your doctor and get some labs. Buist, ND HC Stop Nature-Throid? Hi again,I have looked through the new member files and cannot find the answer, so sorry to be a bother here.I have been taking "Nature-Throid 1/2 grain for about 1 month. Guest guest
Just to let you know, Sarina, I am having the same problem. I started the iodine in September and switched to Nature Throid a little over 2 weeks ago. Nothing I do has helped my hair loss, which was the reason I started iodine and got off synthroid in the first place. In fact my hair is much worse now. I don't plan to go backwards, so I can only go forward, and hope that in time my body will adjust and my hair will grow back. The benefits of iodine and Nature Throid are good, but the hair loss is hard to experience. Best of luck to you, Debra > > Yes you need to continue. You should never change two things at once. Guest guest
Hi Linn, I have been doing Chinese acupuncture for several years, and take Chinese herbs, which I think are supposed to help with liver. What would you advise? Thanks, Debra > > > > > > Yes you need to continue. You should never change two things at once. Guest guest
Chinese herbs can be excellent. Do you know what it consists of? Linn Moderator > > > > > > > > Yes you need to continue. Guest guest
The ones I am taking now contain: radix codonopsis (dang shen); fructus lyccii (gou qi zi); radix angelicae sinesis (dang gui); fructus psoralae (bu gu zhi); radix ginseng rubra (hong shen); radix polygoni multiflori (shou wu). I was taking a slightly different one (that didn't contain ginseng) but has not been available. Debra > > > > > > > > > > Yes you need to continue. You should never change two things at once. Guest guest
I'm assuming you have a practitioner you work with using these. I would say what each works on is good but I don't know enough to advise on length of use, etc. Maybe someone who's more knowledgeable will comment. I have used ganoderma in the past and it was very helpful for adrenal and kidney issues. Maybe take a break and try something else if you've used for a long while and are still having symptoms. Guest guest
Many thanks, Linn. I do have an excellent acupuncturist, and in fact she also uses ganoderma (as reishi). I find I am in excellent health for the most part, it's just the hair loss that has not improved. I'm old enough (64) to appreciate that as things go, that's not the worst that can happen. Guest guest
Ashwagandha or ganoderma can be helpful with hair loss. Also amino acids can be helpful. A good quality undenatured whey protein would cover it. NanoPro along with Nanogreens or products like metagenics Ultra Clear or TLC. Linn > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Yes you need to continue.
