Guest guest
Last December I was diagnosed with multinodular (EIGHT nodules!) goiter and moderate hyperthyroidism. I have had numerous tests and cancer has been ruled out. My endo thinks I should have my thyroid removed because he said it will surely cause me problems in the future. I started on Iodoral a little over 3 weeks ago and take 50mg per day. I take all companion nutrients and have made positive dietary changes. I saw one of the top endo surgeons in the country this morning. Although I didn't actually see the report, she said my thyroid numbers are within normal range now (yay!) and agrees my thyroid does not have to be removed at this time. She wants to reevaluate my situation in 6 months. I really want to keep my thyroid and would like to see even more improvement in it before I see her again. Would I be better off upping my dosage of iodine to 75 or 100mg daily? I have had little problem with the dosage I am at and I'm sure increasing it would be no problem but it would be wasteful if I would get no benefit. Thanks.
