ha! a funnel only seems obvious if i had one. and then there's the issue of

pouring from a jar with no pour spout....that's a spill waiting to happen. :(

thanks, though!

I suggest using a Turkey Baster. A funnel can get to be too messy in going from

1 quart to those tiny 2-oz bottles. Get a transparent turkey baster for best

results.

PS) I'm new here, from Marks Daily Apple, where I moderate an iodine thread.

I found an easy way and I already have the item. I keep the large jar covered

with a paper bag in a dark cupboard so I have to transfer new Lugols every 3

weeks or so. I just use a pyrex glass measuring cup. It has a little pouring

spout that fits perfectly inside my 1 and 2 oz glass bottle moths. I always pour

over the sink and I have the bottle eye level so I can see when it's full. I

have spilled a couple of drops once but a little powdered vit C made it go away.

I have a tiny

wee funnel that fits right into the dropper bottles and I fill them that way.

I don’t

even remember where I got it. Oh yes I do, it was bought many years

ago, to fill a perfume (purse-size) spray bottle from a larger one.

Comes in very

handy. Maybe a DOLLAR STORE.

Yes, you'd want glass ideally, or can use plastic if that's all you have, but

don't

use a metal one because the Lugol's reacts with metal and you don't want to

add that into your mix.

Grizz-- Nice to have you with us. I checked out your forum, just plopped into

the

middle of it but have to run so couldn't spend much time. People were

discussing the patch test. If you've read our Guide to Supplementing that you

received when you joined, you know by now that the patch test is not a reliable

indicator of one's iodine status.
