Yes, I suggest taking the full supplement amount orally and have the painting be

extra to that.

Thank you both for replying! Actually, I'm trying to be systematic about increasing my levels and now thatI'm up to 50mg. iodorol, I have addedone drop of Lugol's one at a time, then two drops, etc... I want to beable to notice at what dose I start having detox symptoms. So, now that I'vealso started painting, does that confuse things? I've also started taking my compounding T3 & T4 (30mg) twice a day insteadof just in the a.m. along with my decreased dose of 0.75 synthetic T4(was 0.88) My goal is to lower my synthetic T4 as much as I realistically can. (been on them for 16yrs)Also, didn't realize most people are taking much higher dosages of NTH!! I've been on a low dosefor years! Possibly, the Synthroid was helping a bit?? (wishful thinking) I thought I was doing fairlywell w/ my thyroid meds until I started taking Iodorol and got instant energy, less brain fog, etc...It is difficult, however, getting used to taking NTH twice a day!! Thanks JMO, so, you dont take NTH twice daily anymore? What are you doing now?My dr. didnt want to increase mydose, she said it was better to take it twice. She feels that if you take it in the evening, you feelfeel more energized upon awakening. Its only been a few days and all Ive noticed is an hour or so in the evening Im mildly hyper. I dont know exactly how iodine is playing into all of this and my new found energy but I love it. When I was taking my Naturethroid twice daily, I would take the 2nd dose no later than 3pm. This would be more than an hour after lunch, and more than an hour before dinner. Also, if I took it any later.. It sometimes gave me TOO MUCH energy in the pm and I had a hard time to go to sleep at night. JMO

Your Iron Saturation is easily calculated from your Serum Iron and your TIBC. You just divide Serum Iron by TIBC and multiply that by 100(or move the decimal 2 places to the right if you like to think of it that way).

Ex.- My last iron panel(done by LabCorp w/ saturation % included, BTW) results were:

Serum Iron- 109

TIBC- 295

So, 109/295 = .37 X 100 = 37%
