Guest guest
Many people, including me, find that body odour pretty much disappears with an increased magnesium intake. So far that's all I've noticed with magnesium. Guest guest
Hello,I am still new and learning about Iodine, I too experienced much weight gain/bloating. I was avid about exercising and watching my food intake. I have come to the conclusion that you cannot tax your body like that, and yes you can actually gain weight from being so rigorous with exercise/calorie intake. I have stopped exercising, except yoga stretching and some mild muscle building, i.e. squats, sit-ups, push-ups, no heavy cardio. (Which by the way I have never done the yoga thing, I was more of the Zumba and T's Insanity Work-outs). With that said, I feel alot of my problems are stemming from the detox pathways, (Kidney's, Liver, Colon), and making sure they are functioning correctly as well as incorporating the Iodine Protocol. I started with one Iodoral (12.5mg), for a week, then bumped up to 2, for a week, until I am now at 7 (87.5mg), a day and holding. I stopped at this dosage because I no longer experienced the Detox Symptoms, (severe bloating, headaches). I started with Iodine in late December, I have not lost the 25 or so pounds I too need to lose, that is stubborn to coming off. I have also cut out bread/flour products and sugars. I am reading the books from s Moritz on the Liver and Gallbladder Cleanse and am currently doing my first cleanse to clean up the Liver Pathways, as all disease starts in the the Liver. His website is www.ener-chi.com, he has alot of good advice, (except in my opinion, for his view on Iodine, and vegan diet unfortunately), however, balancing your dosha and keeping your detox pathways clear may be just what you need. I am currently supplementing with Banyan Botanicals, Ayurvedic Herbs, for Liver, Kidney, Digestive Aid, and Blood Cleanser. I have been holding at 3lbs. of weight loss, but have stopped the weight gain and the bloating, (unless I eat flour/breads, I tend to bloat, my stomach/digestion seems very disturbed), has normalized. I hope this helps.Jody
Guest guest
Dr Klinghardt has nothing good to say about titanium dioxide. Avoid that stuff as it is not innocuous. Read labels as some supplement makers still insist on using it. See: http://tinyurl.com/85y65eb Peace and gratitude, Dean ============================================================= > > > > > > I haven't taken any iodine for nearly two months. I was suffering severe detox symptoms (only from 4 drops of 2% Lugol's per day for about two months) and swelling/weight gain (all in my upper body and stomach, that's it). I gained 16 pounds in two months, and in the two months following NOT taking a drop of iodine, I have yet to lose any of it and, premenstrually, I'm suffering the worst swelling in my breasts and stomach I've ever had. > > > > > > I am a personal trainer and I workout at an advanced level for over two hours a day, usually seven days a week. To gain this much weight in just my upper body (breasts and stomach) and not be able to lose it, is incredibly distressing. I've been concentrating on just healing my liver by taking magnesium, vit c, apple cider vinegar, and chlorophyll. I've removed nearly all sugar from my diet and have been generally eating very lightly throughout the day. Any attempts at a stronger liver detox have given me horrendous headaches and major swelling, so a mild and slow liver healing is all I can handle at the moment. > > > > > > How long does iodine stay in the body? I started iodine for scalp hair loss and fibrocystic breasts, neither of which improved at all while on the iodine and companion nutrients (probably because my detox pathways are so clogged and too low of a dose of iodine). > > > > > > Thanks, > > > Lori > > > > > >
Guest guest
I think that gives magnesium carbonate which is supposed to be very healthful. Guest guest
the only problem i had with the vitamin C that dr. abraham so kindly sent me to help me de-tox from the bromide was that it contained titanium oxide in it. i had purchased the NOW brand of vitamin C and had been using that, so i never used the ones from dr. abraham. Guest guest
I think you would have more success with at least 50mg of lugols. I didn't do well at lower doses. Gracia I haven't taken any iodine for nearly two months. I was suffering severe detox symptoms (only from 4 drops of 2% Lugol's per day for about two months) and swelling/weight gain (all in my upper body and stomach, that's it). I gained 16 pounds in two months, and in the two months following NOT taking a drop of iodine, I have yet to lose any of it and, premenstrually, I'm suffering the worst swelling in my breasts and stomach I've ever had.I am a personal trainer and I workout at an advanced level for over two hours a day, usually seven days a week. How long does iodine stay in the body? Is the swelling I'm experiencing now still from the iodine that I stopped taking two months ago? Is there anything I can do to help this? After I feel confident in my liver healing, my plan is start back with the lugol's (and the companion nutrients), but much more slowly. Guest guest
, The statement " 500 mg niacin (B3) twice a day (NOT niacinamide)... " comes from the BreastCancerChoices site: http://breastcancerchoices.org/iprotocol.html Is this a mistake? Then the next question is this: The Guide to Supplementing PDF says that the ATP Cofactors tablets are optional to be used only when one is fatigued or has autoimmune thyroid disease. Then the BreastCancerChoices says ATP Cofactors tablets do the following: * Helps absorbing iodine faster. * Helping people who were not absorbing iodine efficiently. * Improves ATP (cell Energy) production * Enhances transport & liberation of iodine in target tissues * May help improve muscle soreness associated with fibromyalgia, when used with Iodoral. This would lead us to believe that ATP Cofactors should be taken by all (not optional). Also nothing at BreastCancerChoices hints that B1,B2 or ATP Cofactors are optional. This is all very confusing to me. Should ATP Cofactors be optional or should it be taken as part of the required supporting nutrients? I assume that ATP Cofactor pills obsoletes vitamin b1,b2? Many thanks for helping to clear this up, Grizz > > I haven't taken any iodine for nearly two months. Guest guest
Will taking a sufficient B complex cover the ATP Cofactors ingredients? I used to take the B2 and B3 separately but recently switched to a B complex. Do you think it would make a difference?-Kim From: grizz003 <grizz8562@...> iodine Sent: Monday, March 12, 2012 2:50 PM Subject: Re: How long does iodine generally stay in the body? , The statement "500 mg niacin (B3) twice a day (NOT niacinamide)..." comes from the BreastCancerChoices site: http://breastcancerchoices.org/iprotocol.html Is this a mistake?
