Guest guest
I know this can be confusing, but there are two (opposite) " RT3 ratios " : fT3/rT3 --and-- rT3/fT3 ... which are inversely related. When the fT3 is on " the bottom of the fraction " , then the ideal ratio is less than 4.0. But with fT3 on the top (or first, as in: fT3/rT3), then the target is more than 20. Both of these ratios are referring to exactly the same situation, just the perspective is reversed. Guest guest
One more thing about thyroid " rT3 ratios " , that can be confusing: The measurement units of fT3 and rT3 are different in these doctor's " ideal ratios " . And when the units change, so do the ratios ... I'm referring to these lab units: pg/mL (picograms per milliliter) ng/mL (nanograms per milliliter) pg/dL (picograms per deciliter) ng/dL (nanograms per deciliter) Bill --- At 07:53 PM 28 02 2012, Bill Kingsbury wrote: > >I know this can be confusing, but there are two (opposite) " RT3 ratios " : > >fT3/rT3 --and-- rT3/fT3 ... which are inversely related. > >Bill > >
