Guest guest
Just wondering about iodine's bacteria killing functions. Does it kill both good and bad? My questions stems from this: I have started putting iodine into my kombucha and kefir and those methods really mask the bitter taste. But I wonder if I might be killing off the good bacteria in those drinks by doing this. I've been taking my iodine like this for just under 2 weeks. Guest guest
Lyn, I put my Lugol's drops into a small amount of juice-- I use half and half pure unsweetened cranberry and pomegranate juices, about a tablespoon of each, add the drops, then add a little water. The bitter complexity of the juices, which I love, totally covers the taste, and those juices are very healthy and worth the caloric intake. So you're not alone in seeking a solution to the taste problem. That's part of why Iodoral tablets were developed. -- moderator On 4 Mar 2012 at 14:33, Kathleen Blake wrote: > > > > Hello Lyn, > No, iodine does not kill good bacteria.
