Guest guest
Hi Celine,In what way would it make a tick bite worse? You need antibiotic activity especially if it is a tick bite. in Alaska On Mon, Mar 5, 2012 at 9:59 AM, celeene66 <ldanaila@...> wrote: but if it's a tick (Lyme tick) can this be helpful or worse? celine > > > Should we put some Lugol on tick bites, mosquito and spider bites? > > > > celine > > >
Guest guest
Yes but Lugol's works just fine. Guest guest
Iodine kills bacteria etc so it would be helpful. Paint the area and not just the bite center. You mean the bite, right? It's important to be careful about what is done when the tick is still attached so that it doesn't irritate the tick, which sends more of the bacteria into the body. -- moderator On 5 Mar 2012 at 18:59, celeene66 wrote: > but if it's a tick (Lyme tick) can this be helpful or worse? > > celine > > > > > Should we put some Lugol on tick bites, mosquito and > spider bites? > > > > celine > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > Owner: Buist, ND HC > Moderators: Baker, Kathleen Blake, Donna Iler, Linn > > All off topic posts should go to the IodineOT group > IodineOT/ > > > The NEW MEMBER DOCUMENT (#1 on the list) > iodine/files/01%20NEW%20MEMBERS%2 > 0-%20READ%20FIRST/
Guest guest
No. r oil is for day in/day out regular painting, not a couple of applications. If you want to continue application over time (as I said, you should do a larger area around it for a tick bite), then start using a carrier oil. It's simply to protect the skin from the oxidizing (irritating) effects of the iodine. -- moderator On 5 Mar 2012 at 21:56, jirsa wrote: > When putting iodine on tick bites, do you have to use any oils as I > have read in other posts or just apply the iodine? > > > > > Should we put some Lugol on tick bites, mosquito and > spider bites? > > > > celine > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > Owner: Buist, ND HC > Moderators: Baker, Kathleen Blake, Donna Iler, Linn > > All off topic posts should go to the IodineOT group > IodineOT/ > > > The NEW MEMBER DOCUMENT (#1 on the list) > iodine/files/01%20NEW%20MEMBERS%2 > 0-%20READ%20FIRST/
