Guest guest
It's minuscule, approximately 1-2 mgs depending on strength, not enough to depend on if you trying to supplement potassium. RDA for potassium is 4700 mgs. Guest guest
Is there a reason you're concerned about potassium? Guest guest
yes, I have tested my potassium levels in hair and since I take iodine my potassium levels went up (a little bit high). Before taking iodine my potassium levels were normal. I trust this hair test. Guest guest
The tiny amount of potassium in iodine wouldn't be the problem. Are you doing any kind of detox? Iodine can cause detox and if the kidneys and liver can't keep up, that could raise the potassium level on a hair test. Toxic metals could also account for this. I'm assuming you are working with someone regarding this, what are their recommendations? Guest guest
I'm not doing any detox. I only take iodine + sea salt and the other companion nutrients. Can you tell me how much is this tiny amount of potassium which is iodine? Guest guest
From your earlier posts, you stated you were supplementing potassium due to low levels. For a more exact amount of potassium on the iodine you'd need to contact the manufacturer. Guest guest
To make Lugol's solution, or Iodoral tablets the formula calls for twice as much Potassium Iodide as elemental Iodine. One 12.5 mg Iodoral tablet contains 5 mg of elemental Iodine, so they had to put 10 mg of Potassium iodide in it, but the 10 mg of Potassium iodide only added 7.5 mg of iodine to the tablet, with the remainder weight being Potassium or 2.5 mg of Potassium in each tablet. This is an insignificant amount of Potassium compared to the daily requirement. > > How much potassium is in 1 tablet of iodine? > > I mean potassium not potassium iodide. > > thank you, > > celine >
