Guest guest
hey paula, i think they are just gonna pull it out. its really beyond repair and they have me on anti botics just in case. just not eating anything really other then soft stuff. i did have some refried beans though that filled me up LOL orajel, advil and the presciption in cycles really keeping it numb for now. i used to get strep alot don't know why i don't now, not that i am complaining LOL. i remember to swallow it felt like glass at least with my tooth i can put some stuff to numb it really never found anything to numb the throat. i like amy's floor cardio for some reason she doesn't cue that far ahead like in her step workout but she will have a tendency to throw some moves at you and expect you to just do it. i find her CIA releases a little harder to follow then her KBX or her hi-lo stuff. i tried her stuff workout ONCE and just ejected and sent it back to netflix and never bothered with her step workouts asided from cardio pump step(just b/c its easier combos since its only a 20 min segment). she does have modifiers on her floor cardio work. not sure on the step since i don't have any of hers.christi taylor may be another option for you. her workouts can be tricky but she really breaks them down for you and they are so much fun and really steady state. you won't have really any jumping like cathe. christi is oh so adorable in her workouts, she sings the cues and has a perky but not annoying little voice. def. something to look into her. you tube has a ton of her clips. she even has mission possible which is really easy to follow step/hi-lo workout. can always start there and move up. kassia fitness blogmy domainSpecial Needs Scouting Too many people spend money they haven't earned to buy things they don’t want to impress people they don’t like.-Will ---

Guest guest
Kassia, Can they give you any kind of false tooth? Is it in the back or the front. If the tooth is to forward loosing one can cause your other teeth to start to shift. Make sure they give you all the options!! You reminded me that I have Christi 's totally Hot Cardio! (yeah I'm that bad) I put it in on a really tired day, popped it out and put in a Walking video and never looked at it again. I'll have to lay it out somewhere and hopefully get to it next week. I think that is about as complex choreo as I want. I think most I want a little simpler. I get kickboxing choreo really easy. It is what comes natural. But step choreography I have to remain simple and floor aerobics needs to remain moderate. I only do them on occasion for a little something different and thats probably why it doesn't come natural. Before I got really sick I did CIA and Cathe all the time not well mind you but frequently (back in the VHS days) but now I have to save them for the on occasion workouts. Its humbling and ego busting...but someday again.... ;-) a > > hey paula, i think they are just gonna pull it out. its really beyond repair and they have me on anti botics just in case. just not eating anything really other then soft stuff. i did have some refried beans though that filled me up LOL orajel, advil and the presciption in cycles really keeping it numb for now. > > i used to get strep alot don't know why i don't now, not that i am complaining LOL. i remember to swallow it felt like glass at least with my tooth i can put some stuff to numb it really never found anything to numb the throat. > > i like amy's floor cardio for some reason she doesn't cue that far ahead like in her step workout but she will have a tendency to throw some moves at you and expect you to just do it. i find her CIA releases a little harder to follow then her KBX or her hi-lo stuff. i tried her stuff workout ONCE and just ejected and sent it back to netflix and never bothered with her step workouts asided from cardio pump step(just b/c its easier combos since its only a 20 min segment). she does have modifiers on her floor cardio work. not sure on the step since i don't have any of hers. > > christi taylor may be another option for you. her workouts can be tricky but she really breaks them down for you and they are so much fun and really steady state. you won't have really any jumping like cathe. christi is oh so adorable in her workouts, she sings the cues and has a perky but not annoying little voice. def. something to look into her. you tube has a ton of her clips. she even has mission possible which is really easy to follow step/hi-lo workout. can always start there and move up. > > kassia > >  >  > fitness blog > > my domain > > Special Needs Scouting > >   Too many people spend money they haven't earned to buy things they don’t want to impress people they don’t like. > -Will   > > --- >

Guest guest
Thanks Carolyn! In the Amped kit?I'm going to guess in a delux version? I have the four pack..I honestly don't do these workouts ever. I did maybe two when I got the set and didn't care for them. I use the stick to keep my iRobot from leaving the room. LOL. I should probably give them a try again. Guest guest
Hi a - I hear you on the humbling thing - I am seeing improvement in my back though and what it is able to handle, but I'm not sure that it would ever be good for me to do what I used to do the way I used to do it. In other words, I think I can throw in some of my "old" workouts in, but I also have to make sure that I include many of my "new" workouts, too (Pilates, walking, stretching) to keep everything in balance. Hang in there w/ the tooth Kassia - I had a missing one for a long time - but just got it replaced last year - It was missing for, gee, since 1990/91 - something like that. I was a student at the time w/ no dental insurance so it was the way to go. Being a back tooth, I don't think it messed up too much in my mouth and at this point most of my teeth are capped anyway! Yikes! It is a pain to have such poor teeth! Donna From: a Frey <paulajfrey@...>Subject: Re: Hello all! Date: Saturday, June 6, 2009, 7:32 PM Kassia,Can they give you any kind of false tooth? Guest guest
Hi a, Welcome back! I was thinking about you the other day, that we hadn't heard from you in a while, hoping you were well. I'm sorry to hear about the strep though!! How do you like No More Trouble Zones? I've been interested in that. I like Jillian's workouts. Regarding your workouts, here's my comments on the ones I've done. 30 Day Shred: No choreography at all. Just drills. Definitely challenging. There are 3 levels and even level 1 is challenging! Definitely some high impact. She starts out level 1 with jumping jacks and tells you there is no modification for them. I haven't done levels 2 & 3 lately but I think I remember squat thrusts and mountain climbers from level 3. The weight work is 30 seconds of an isolated exercise, 30 seconds of compound exercise, repeat isolated, then repeat compound (at least on level 1). The abs are good too. If you don't already have her Cardio Kickbox, that one is good too. She works you hard for 25 minutes. Lots of high impact but it can probably be taken lower. 's 4 Really Big Miles: I've done this once and really need to do it again soon. I thought it was a lot of fun. Sorry, that's all I know! Have fun making your picks! Hello all! Been off the grid traveling for work and finishing up Legislative Session. And now I have strep! At least that's what I think it is.I hope everyone is well! I guess I have some reading to do!My workouts have been all over the board. I've done some Jillian No More Trouble Spots, Some Turbo Jam and Kick, the Wii (My Fitness Trainer), Some , and made up some workouts on my own.Since I can't workout today, I window shopped the new Collage video catalog.
Guest guest
I guess I have been under a rock. I didn't know about the 10th anniversary set. Time was I use to buy everything put out on its release date. I'm more of an old school Taebo girl myself. My Amp set is the original. In all fairness when it came out maybe five years ago was when I was first really sick. I might not have judged fairly. I should try again. I think I felt burned after bootcamp. Guest guest
Hi !!! I hope you have less stress soon!! For me I think the No More Trouble Zones will be an occasional workout. I did like it though and I'm actually not a Jillian fan. I have her first Biggest Winner videos and I found her personality a bit too grating and egotistical. (I heart Bob) She uses the high rep low weight method and right now I'm trying to get my money's worth out of the bowflex weights so I'm looking more for high weight low rep for my more regular workouts. I need to get back to doing Chalean Extreme. I always get off track with things when I travel alot and then I put up strange mental blocks to getting back on track. Soon! I will have to give 30 day shred a try!! Thanks! Get some rest time in too! a > > Hi a, > > Welcome back! Guest guest
First of all, welcome! Sounds like you've made enormous progress in just a short time with IOWL. Please continue to share these successes with us! Here's the second thing that struck me about your post.... It's my body double!! LOL! Actually, I was 181 lbs when I started this weight loss journey a few years back, and my goal was 135.... But yeah, the sands of time ran to the bottom of this hourglass when I was in my teens! :-) I did hit my goal--even at 135 I couldn't always find pants that fit well, but it was a lot easier.... And I did hit the point where I stopped thinking " thunder thighs " and started thinking " J Lo butt. " LOL! OTOH, I think one of the things that led to my regain was feeling way too thin on top. This time, I'm working on intent setting and visualizing where I have stored energy that can be released.... I'm now hanging out right at the top of my (our) healthy weight range. To the point where most of the month I'm " normal " weight, and ovulation or PMS bloating put me into " overweight " . But I think that at 43, not 23, this might be closer to my actual goal. :-) ________________________________ From: mittyume <mittyume@...> weightloss Sent: Mon, May 17, 2010 9:14:57 PM Subject: Hello all! Hello! Finally I brought myself up to take a leap of faith and join this community. I am 23 years old, an art student and art enthusiast. As far as I remember I have been overweight, to the point that I don't even know what I would look like if I were thin! I am about 40 pounds overweight, standing at 176 lbs at 5'7 " . Though I carry my weight well, meaning people can never guess how heavy I really am because I have a small frame and I am pear shaped, I am extremely self concious about my thighs and butt. They are jiggly and full of cellulite, and the thought of going to the beach with my friends is out if the question. My waist to hip ratio is extreme; I have a really tiny waist and a really big butt. It almost looks cartoony. Many people might say that's a good thing and is feminine, but I just hate it, have always hated it, was made fun of at school when I was a kid.. I can never find pants that fit me right, and I don't want to imagine what I must look like from behind. Especially with underwear or swimsuit, and no, I have never worn a bikini in my life. I have tried many diets in my life, the one that worked the best was Dr. Elvebakk's diet (don't know if you guys no about her, she is the inventor of the Food Tree) in which I was not allowed to have any kind of pasta, rica, bread, potato, corn or any kind of processed sugar. My diet was simply eggs, vegetables, meat and fruit, which is really really healthy. But I found it soooo difficult to continue, and I quit after losing about 14 pounds. I started eating bread and rice and before I know it my weight jumped back up, thought I have not fully gained it all back, I gained about 8 lbs back. I am trying to get to my ultimate body, the body that I would be proud of. Somewhere around 130 lbs. I want to look good and feel good and be proportionate. I have started listening to IOWL for the past week, and I must say I am very excited. I even lost 2 lbs in this past week! One of my biggest bafflements is that I am not craving all the sweets and stuff that I used to crave. Here's my eating pattern: if there's food in front of me, and its slightly delicious, it will end up inside of my mouth within seconds. I don't binge and purge, I never eat untill i'm physically too uncomfortable (althought I may have a couple times in my life) and basically all I need is to eat a little less, meaning I should crave things a little less and not obsess about the thought of eating so much. Today I did something good. I was craving a Mcs cheezeburger, (and mind you, i don't eat fastfood, and last Mc I ate was probably a year ago) and I was alone. There was a Mcs infront of me. I entered and waited in line, it was 10 am, they were only serving breakfast. When I asked if they have hamburgers and they said no, the old me would have gotten something else from the menu that is slightly delicious. But instead I realized that I don't want anything other than that cheezeburger, so I thanked and walked out. Went into jamba juice to get a smoothie for breakfast. The clerk was trying to talk me into getting this really rich creamy smoothie and talking about how delicious it is and what a good breakfast it makes and how it's only 250 calories and such. Then I asked about the nutritional values and he pointed at a book. I looked through the book and found that that smoothie might by low calorie, but it contained about 40 grams of pure sugar! Having done Dr. Elvebakk's Food Tree diet for such a long time, I know that it is a terrible amount of sugar. So instead i craved something better, notice the word; CRAVE.. I actually WANTED something that is healthier for me. I went for a hot oatmeal without any brown sugar and with fresh bananas on top. It was maybe a total of 140 calories all together. I walked out with that and enjoyed it, it was not extremely delicious (oatmeal is not that great even with sugar, and this was without any sugar!) I enjoyed most of it and when I ran out of bananas to give it taste I threw the rest away because I was full, and didn't want the rest of it. This is absolutely a revolutionary road for me to start with a cheezeburger intention and end up with a sugarless oatmeal. I feel like this program, or rather this way of thinking, is my key to release my inner naturaly slender woman. This experience today made me want to write to you all and share my experience. I am very happy that I am talking about this with someone, because I am sure my friends are sick of listening to me talk about all my different diets. This one is between me, and you guys. It is personal, slightly secret, and all that enjoyable. It is better than buying that Ritter sport chocolate when I am in Walgreens, and it feels better than obsessing over that leftover cheesecake in my refrigerator. I am ready to be the best that I can be, not only in my way of thinking about my body, but also in my art and career. Thank you all, and sorry if this is too long to read. I will write more frequently and shorter throughout my journey.

Guest guest
Hello, and welcome. I was an art major in college, my husband thinks that makes me " weird " in a good way. lol and I too am kind of keeping this IOWL a secret. I have shared with two, and got not much response, so i have kept to to myself. I love the group. This is the " Community " wants us to have. I read the posts all the time. I don't post much myself, but will gradually add more. I too don't binge, i just graze alot. And all my weight goes to my waist, which makes jeans bag and sag on my legs because to get the waist to fit, the legs do not. :-) Wish we could design our own clothes!!! What a success you had with the breakfast the other morning! WTG Have you started your success journal? that one should definitely go in there. It is in episode # 18. Congrats and welcome to the group. Hope you continue to tell us of all your successes!! Wyna > > Hello! > > Finally I brought myself up to take a leap of faith and join this community. >
