Hi guys! I haven't posted in a while. We got our 3 year old's thyroid panel

back and I am confused about something.

-His TSH is 1.23 (I've read that anything over 1.5 warrants investigating T3 and

T4 which we had done also)

-His T4 is 9.4 (reference range of lab is 4.5-12 mcg/dL)

-His T3 is what is confusing me, they listed it as 88 ng/dL with no reference

range (not that I would trust it anyway) When I looked online for the standard

lab ranges I found 80-230 as a reference, which means he is nowhere near the

upper 1/3 of the range.

We tested his thyroid, because he is VERY moody and screamy, hits a lot and has

no patience, plus recently he lost two chunks (about 1 inch around) of hair from

the scalp. He's also very small for his age and grows extremely slowly,

although he is hungry all of the time and eats well.

We've been giving him about 2.2-4.4mg of Lugol's daily for a while now, plus

selenium. He can't have vitamin C, because of an oxalate issue though.
