Guest guest
there are many things to do for the adrenal Adrenal Fatigue: The 21st Century Stress Syndrome On Sun, Mar 11, 2012 at 12:59 PM, health43mj <mjsieber@...> wrote: I recently read a post where someone mentioned that Dr Brownstein recommends DHEA for adrenal fatigue. My DHEA is really really low but I thought is lowered cortisol and I was hesitant to take it. I actually tried it and felt more tired so I stopped, but now I'm wondering if it was really the DHEA. I was so nervous about taking it because they are so against it on the adrenals group. Maybe it was psychological and I should give it another try? . My testosterone was also low at my last test, so it might help that as well. Anyone have positive experience with it? I have pretty bad adrenal fatigue. Guest guest
Yes, I did read the book and just about everything else out there about AF! The use of DHEA seems to be the one thing that I find conflicting info on. Just curious what experience others had with it. Guest guest
Hi MJ...After taking Iodoral an ovarian cyst I've had for ever started to get smaller. I have an ultrasound every year. Later when I started taking DHEA the cyst started getting bigger again, so I quit the DHEA even though my levels are terribly low. I have never stopped the iodoral and will probably take it the rest of my life. I'm 72 yo. Guest guest
I think I read in Dr. Brownstein's book that DHEA is good to take as long as the adrenals and thyroid are stable. I wish I had read that before my doctor put me on DHEA -- it literally sent my adrenals over the cliff, and still trying to recover. My temps have not been stable since. > > > > > ** > > > > > > > > > I recently read a post where someone mentioned that Dr Brownstein > > > recommends DHEA for adrenal fatigue. Guest guest
It seems like there are not many positive experiences with DHEA. Hopefully my levels will go up naturally as my adrenals heal. I think I will pass on taking it. MJ > > > > > > > ** > > > > > > > > > > > > I recently read a post where someone mentioned that Dr Brownstein > > > > recommends DHEA for adrenal fatigue. Guest guest
How much did you take? You only need a little. Guest guest
DHEA and Magnesium http://www.puremagoil.com/dhea.htm Dr. Norman Shealy comments that low or deficient DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone) levels are present in every illness, with few exceptions. When Magnesium Oil is sprayed on the skin bring the DHEA levels back to normal in the body within 30 to 45 days. Almost 100% of us are magnesium deficient and it's obvious because we keep aging! Degenerative aging is directly related to insufficient magnesium, according to Holy Water, Sacred Oil, The Fountain of Youth by Dr. Norman Shealy M.D., Ph.D. C. Norman Shealy, M.D., Ph.D. is one of the world's leading experts in pain management. His research into this has led to several patented techniques for pain relief. He is a graduate of Duke University medical school and a well-known author and lecturer. Since retiring from private practice in 1999, Dr. Shealy has devoted his time to research. Here's what I've learned from him. Sufficient Magnesium will support the nervous system, heart, blood, and normal hormone levels, particularly DHEA levels. Taking DHEA is not recommended. Making your own is the best answer, and to do that you need sufficient minerals. DHEA/magnesium deficiency symptoms include: (are you ready for this?) anxiety, hyperactivity, confusion, depression, diarrhea, or constipation, faintness, fatigue, hyperventilation, lack of coordination, insomnia, intestinal problems, muscle cramps, muscle tightness (and with that chronic spinal misalignments/subluxations) pain, poor memory, seizures, tinnitus (ear ringing and other noises) hearing loss, vertigo (dizziness), Major diseases associated with DHEA/ magnesium deficiency are: angina pectoris, arrhythmia, asthma, atherosclerosis, Attention Deficit Disorder, (ADHD) auricular fibrillation, bulimia, cancer, cardiomyopathy, chronic fatigue, chronic bronchitis, congestive heart failure, cirrhosis, depression, diabetes, emphysema, gall bladder infections and stones, hearing loss, heart attack, high cholesterol, hypertension, hypoglycemia, chronic infection (viral and bacterial) intermittent claudication (leg calf pain), kidney stones, migraine, mitral-valve prolapse, osteoporosis, panic attacks, PMS (premenstrual syndrome), benign prostate hypertrophy, and strokes. In no illness is DHEA/magnesium deficiency more prevalent than myocardial infarction (acute heart attack). On average, heart attack patients immediately given magnesium intravenously have a 50% greater survival rate. It has also been shown that mothers who are given magnesium intravenous feedings just before giving birth are much less likely to have children who develop cerebral palsy. When DHEA is raised, testosterone levels are raised. This raises libido in men and women. DHEA is a major reflector of overall health and stress reserves. DHEA is the health and youth hormone.
