Guest guest
Hi Kim: I am one of the ones that has gained weight but I don’t believe it is directly from the Iodine but more from the fact that my stomach now feels normal again after 9 years and I can eat MORE FOOD than I could before. Because of my GI problems (stomach no longer working) called Gastroparesis, I just put in 9 years where I got SO NAUSEATED upon eating that I lost 70 pounds, so of course when the food is being “accepted” and tolerated by the stomach, the natural thing is to eat more. I had TOO MUCH BACTERIA built up, causing the nausea. The Iodine THANKFULLY killed that all off and continues to do that for me because I use the Lugol’s rather than the Iodoral. Now I just have gained 20 pounds and will have to WORK HARD to get rid of it. And I will. Can someone give a concise overview of why we are gaining weight on the iodine protocol and what are concrete strategies to take to address it? I'm starting to feel a bit panicked about it. Guest guest
Bonnie,Could you share how many mg/day you were taking and for how long, before you had resolution of your gastrointestinal problems? I'm struggling with yeast/bacterial overgrowth in my intestines, and am curious. Thanks so much.
