I would like and the other mod's input on this subject. I have

researched this hours online, different groups, many websites, talked to doctors

and more.

If numbers are Low normal T3, mid to low normal T4, Extremely high RT3 (380,

should be 150ish). Hashimotos antibody of 7. (all this previously posted on

other post)

I am on 50mg iodoral and experiencing detox symptoms. My other post shows my

labs from hakala labs.

Appears my body is producing plenty of Thyroid hormone, its just converting more

to RT3 then to T3.

1) RT3 Thyroid group says using body temperature use T3 Cytomel and go through a

12 week " reboot " . I don't think this is a good solution. I cant find alot of

users on the forum who have success with this protocol and it is very hard on

the body

2) s Protocol: Similar to above, but using time released. Once again, not

alot of success I have seen.

3) Using 5mcg T3 2-3 times per day while doing things to lower stress level,

detox etc. This is what I am doing now, but my stress level is very high and my

responsibilities are high.

4) Armour/Nature dessicated thyroid - but this will feed the RT3?? Not

reommended from most of what I have read.

5) Alot of websites say stay away from Iodine (about.thyroid.com) if you have

hashi's etc. I have read the PDF with this forum as well as Dr Brownsteins book.

I tend to agree with this forum and Dr B. and I have been on Iodine for almost a

year (only on high dose for a few months).

6) Using no T3 or Armour, just doing the Iodine protocol and Detox the bromine

out of the system to get below 5 on lab results.

Out of those 6, and a current post PTSD health state, on my way up, adrenals are

mostly healed but cortisol is most likely low.... What would you guys recommend?

Thanks!
