Shellfish allergy and Iodoral

Hello!

I have searched the archives and most people have indicated that they do not

have a problem with iodine. I have an anaphylaxis reaction to shellfish and

just really cautious.

For those of you with a shellfish allergy, could you please share your

experience with Iodoral?

I am aware that the allergy is to shellfish is the protein. My concern and

questioing is more related to the purity of the product and any potential cross

contamination.

Kathleen is right. I have a shellfish allergy and a epi pen.

IO have had NO issue/reaction with Iodine or Iodoral.

Its false information, shellfish allergy is NOT the same as an allergy too

Iodine.

Sofia,

Lugol's solution and the tablet form of Lugol's does not come from shellfish. It is from the earth. People who are allergic to shellfish typically do not have any allergic reaction to Lugol's, in my experience.

There's no cross contamination issue. Iodine comes from mines in Chile. There is no fish involved.
