Guest guest
I have only seen iodine dispensed in glass bottles with glass droppers. There must be some reason why. Maybe the Iodine breaks down the petroleum in plastic. Buist, ND HC plastic dropper vs. glass dropper is it ok to use a bottle with a plastic eye dropper rather than a glass eye dropper for my lugols iodine? is there a reason one should use a glass dropper or are they both ok? thanks, barry

Guest guest
My dropper in the iodine bottle is glass. You should be able to buy a glass one with standard bottle fitting? Guest guest
Yes you can buy them as essential oils require that the dropper is glass. Here are some on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-LOT-GLASS-DROPPERS-for-Essential-Oils-4ml-15ml-30ml-60ml-/110773254022?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0 & var= & hash=item19ca99b786#ht_1905wt_1110 Buist, ND HC Re: Re: plastic dropper vs. glass dropper My dropper in the iodine bottle is glass. Guest guest
Yes acrylic acid or bisphenol A , a cataylist reacts all monomers, will react with iodine and yellow the dropper and you can't see the markings. same as painting your arm.
