Guest guest Posted January 10, 2002 Report Share Posted January 10, 2002 consultancy opportunity in myanmar TERMS OF REFERENCE TECHNICAL ADVISOR TO THE MYANMAR HIV/AIDS INGO GROUP Reports to INGO HIV/AIDS Working Group Committee via Group point person. Major Responsibilities The Technical Advisor assists the INGO HIV/AIDS Working Group to provide improved HIV/AIDS programming in Myanmar. The Technical Advisor will be responsible for: - Situational Analysis of HIV/AIDS prevalence and programming in Myanmar, and analysis of issues affecting HIV/AIDS programming (including cross cutting issues) - Organising and facilitating action planning workshops, ensuring that the views of various stakeholders are integrated - Drafting of strategic Plan of Action and Report writing - Needs assessment, paying particular attention to Benefit/Harm analysis and gender analysis - Design and write up of a program intervention for implementation by INGO consortium - Dissemination of information related to the project activity - Ensuring that expenditure for project activity is in line with budget Management The Technical Advisor will report to the committee of the INGO HIV/AIDS Working Group. This will be co-ordinated through the Working Group point person. Regular meetings will be held between the consultant and the committee. Terms & Conditions of Consultancy The period of the consultancy is approximately 45 days. The total payment for the period will not exceed USD 9,000. Accommodation and travel will be arranged and paid for by the INGO group. The consultant will ensure s/he has full insurance coverage. The start time will be from the 1st February 2002 and finish date will be by 31st March 2002. The position will be based in Yangon, with travel to other areas of the country as necessary. Criteria for Selection - MPH or equivalent combination of education and work experience - Significant experience (at least 5+ years) in HIV/AIDS programming, project design, and proposal writing - Experience in conducting situational analysis and literature reviews - Experience with a consortium is also highly recommended - Working experience of the Mekong Sub-Region is essential, and experience of Myanmar highly desirable reply to Khin Tar Tar < msim@...> __________________________________________________ Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
