Guest guest
Having had shingles that wrapped around my waist, I can testify they are excruciatingly painful. It was explained to me that shingles are a herpes virus that are dormant in the body. For example; They are passed through the bruised skin of a child when you kiss the spot to make it better. They are passed from kissing goodnight if you have a cold sore (another herpes virus} They are measles and chicken pox. Everyone alive may have these dormant viruses that are awakened under extreme stress. That means mental, emotional and physical stress. Either can trigger the virus from what I was told. Mine didn't form a complete ring. There was an inch between them. But it lasted for 6 weeks. I had blisters so painful sleeping was impossible unless I was in a tub with oatmeal added. It was still painful, but the smallest relief was enough. I didn't know then, what I know now. I recommend subtle energy formulae for the virus, the pain, and the stress related problems. It still takes time but so far it's the best remedy I have witnessed. You use these formulae in addition to what you're using now, but the results will be quicker. They do not interfere with anything you are using; they enhance what you are doing. Let me know if you want to try them and I'll give you the information to order them. Guest guest
Hi Bonnie, Sorry to hear about your Dad. I just recently had shingles and it was awful! I caught it too late to get anything for it but pain pills : ( So I had to rely on my own wits. I went to a local apothecary and they made me up something for it, but you should be able make it yourself. All they did was take alcohol and dissolve aspirin in it. The alcohol provides a cool feeling to the sores which relieves the itch, and it helps dry them out so they heal quicker. The aspirin penetrates into the skin and helps the pain. I applied this a few times a day and it got me through. I hope this helps him! ~ --- bonnieg <bonnieg@...> wrote: > Hi all.....had a question.... > > Just found out that my dad has shingles? l have > heard of them but not > really sure how it is caused or why......but very > curious to know if anyone > out there would have any idea if l could maybe make > some mild soap (only > know M & P) or what kinds of additives would perhaps > soothe the rash he > has.....he is in a great deal of pain, the doctor > has given him some > antibiotics (forgive the spelling) Any help would be > greatly > appreciated................thanks in > advance.....Bonnie > > __________________________________________________

Then Desitin (zinc oxide) is good. Monolauric acid and selenium suppress viruses. Vitamin C and L-lysine are old favorites. All this results in a quick cure. Monolauric acid is a must. Guest guest
Hello All, found this site http://www.mikebrownsolutions.com/larrea.htm LARREASTATâ„¢ Larreastat is a highly concentrated, purified solubilized extract of essential compounds from the desert plant Larrea tridenta. LARREASTAT contains an abundance of natural antioxidants, flavonoids and lignans. Larrea has had a long history of use in folk medicine. LARREASTAT has exhibited remarkable biological activities in the laboratory and clinical studies. Larrea is one of the longest-lived plants on earth with some currently living plants dating back to the time of the Sphinx and the Egyptian pyramids, over 12,000 years ago. This plant produces an array of chemicals that provide it protection against viruses, bacteria, fungi, insects, rodents, and more. Larrea tridenta is harvested from wild, native stands of the plant growing in pristine Arizona. Dennis , Ph.D. (botany), has formulated this powerful herb into capsules and ointment for use as an antiviral agent and cellular enhancer. If you would like to experiment (we make no claims): Read the booklet, Treating Herpes Naturally by Dennis , Ph.D. -- $5.00 Larreastatâ„¢ is available as follows: 3 oz. ointment -- $15.00 60 capsules -- $25.00 Use www.google.com search engine to find other sources Mike Slivinski M & B wrote: > > Hi List Members, my friends mother has shingles and is in her mid > 60's, she was so bad for little over a week they thought she may not Bernice, I suggest you or your friend do a websearch for Larreastat (I *think* I've got that spelled right). Guest guest
According to one of my doctors, if you have been diagnosed with shingles, you should also be tested for Lyme disease (Western Blot blood test after a day or two of appropriate antibiotic therapy). I am not sure if the shingles often look like a Lyme rash, or if the Herpes virus is more prevalent when Lyme bacteria are attacking the body. Lyme is very undiagnosed in most parts of the U.S., due to physician ignorance (most doctors seem to think that it is only in the northeast U.S., which is untrue). Left untreated, Lyme can cause severe joint pain, heart problems, fatigue, and mild to severe psychological and/or nervous system problems, ranging from depression to panic disorder, manic-depression, palsy, muscular dystrophy and Alzheimer's like symptoms. It can also cause birth defects and miscarriage. It can remain in the body for decades without any severe symptoms, if not found and treated in the initial stages, and attack the body years later. For more information go to: http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/Oasis/6455/lyme-links.html HTH, Bev > >Does anyone have something that they can recomend that helps to > >remove/lighten scars? There is an herbal extract called Larrea (an extract of Chapparal) that is supposedly getting good results when applied as a cream or taking orally and the results occur quickly (you can find it easly on the net by doing a search on Larrea and Herpes). Over the counter Tagamet taken 200mgs 3 times a day then 400 mgs before bed time will usually get great results in a week or so. Tagamet is not natural I know but it is very low on the toxicity scale. Alot of cancer and AIDS patients are told to take it because it strengthens the immune system. The amino acid Lysine in capsules and cream has help people with herpes infections (shingles is a herpes zoster strain). And last but not least I have had great success with my clients with the following homeopathic remedies...... Rhus Tox 30c or 200c..... Natrum Muriaticum 30c or 200c and finally Arsenicum Album 30c or 200c. If the client is elderly and in poor health do NOT give anything above a 30c in homeopathy unless a trained homeopath has taken her case and recommends it. Guest guest
Actually that condition was mentioned last night at a meeting for the 4-life product series, and a person mentioned the skin product TF renewal was used effectively on shingles, It apparently worked in about 3 days. I have also had a great deal of success using transfer factor plus on many chronic illnesses, and find it to be a great adjunct to oxidative therapies in that it also provides the immune system with information it can retain in the event it encounters the same antigen in the future. Their website is www.transferfactor.com and www.4-life.com and the following numbers may be of interest. We are distributors for this line, water oz, plasmafire, and a few other companies and have our own line we are developing. thanks, and hope your friend does well. Hi Donna; About 4 years ago I got a bad case of shingles and the pain in my shoulder was way into three to four months. I couldn't even lift up my arm to get a tray of ice from the fridge. A friend of mine does Reiki. He gave me one Reiki treatment, and the next morning my pain was gone, and it hasn't come back. So you might have her have a Reiki treatment. Guest guest
I too would suggest a Reiki treatment. Reiki is universal life energy. I had been in pain for 6 years when I had my first Reiki treatment. When the treatment was done I was pain free!! I decided to take the Reiki I and Reiki II classes so that I could give myself Reiki treatments just to make sure that I could keep the pain at bay. I have been pain free ever since! It has even helped my depression considerably, reduced my stress level, AND, I am also losing weight! - Donna Go to your destiny!
