That is quite interesting. I am dealing with very, very large uterine

fibroids, but as far as I know--no cancer. I try to take extra good

care of my body. I usually get LOTS of sunshine and exercise because I

run long distances, but in just the past month or so I've been having

problems running that appear to be related to my fibroids, and right

now I'm down to pretty much no running at all (which is a more

desperate situation for me than you can probably imagine

Debbie:

From what I

understand Fibroids are TOTALLY dependent on Estrogen for their existence. The

more you make the bigger they get.

Oh my goodness, I have this all over my gums, the roof of my mouth and bottom teeth. It is spider webby and whitish looking. I also have little polyps all over the roof of my mouth and nowsongs on the inside of my bottom gums. They don't really do anything, but they do get a little irritated if I eat rough foods like chips. I do not take any kind of iodine yet, so for me it has nothing to do with it. It's been getting worse for over a year. My dentist didn't even really notice, and suggested I had sjogrens since I have dry mouth. I thought he was going to take one look and immediately notice it was very odd looking. Actually turns out I have Lyme and other possible co-infections for the past 6 years. I dont know if that has anything to do with besides that my immune system is completely dysfunctional. I'm concerned now that cancer was mentioned...it's been in the back of my mind. I do have thyroid issues, and general lady issues that havent been sorted out yet. A lot to think about. You're not alone there. Whatever it is I have it too. I've researched everything from fungus, to yeast, and allergies. Haven't been able to find anything similar. I'm thinking I'll see another dentist now. I'm not quite sure who is not taking iodine yet, but I AM!

Does anyone have an opinion about whether the Lugols is as good or

better for rinsing my mouth in this situation as the chorhexidine

gluconate?

I usually take my iodine all at once in the morning. I've started

trying to let it slosh on the spot behind my teeth and then not rinse

my mouth. (Yuck.)

I've tried to put some full strength on the spot topically, but it's

a hard spot to reach. A q-tip works, but soaks up so much precious,

expensive iodine My finger doesn't work very well. I have to turn

it upside down to get to the spot, and the drop of iodine runs off.

I agree that fibroids are fed by estrogen. I started the iodine hoping

it would be one more thing to help me get my estrogen levels down. So

far no success with that.

I've been trying lots of other things too. If anyone has some great

estrogen reducing tips, please email me or let me know in the off

topic group.
