Guest guest
Hi Grace: This may not be connected in any way but about 10 years ago, I had some kind of “head thing” while I was out shopping and it caught my attention, something in front of my eye. I felt weird for a few minutes, but there was no pain. It turned out that I had a ‘fluid detachement’ in one eye and could see things floating around, back and forth, some of them looked like they had hairs attached, really weird. Also flashing lights. A year later it happened in the other eye. So I have permanent FLOATERS now that are very annoying and worse in the winter, when everything is white outside, because these things are black. May not be connected at all but thought I’d just throw that out there to think about. Bonnie From: iodine [mailto:iodine ] On Behalf Of tobdncng@... Sent: Tuesday, March 27, 2012 11:44 PM Iodine Subject: Question about my eyes as a reaction to the Iodine Hi all, The last few days I have had some pain in my chest. It hurt worse when I bent over. I went into the Urgent Care and they gave me some Toradol. It didn't help, so I tried Dilaudid. I take LDN and it is contraindicated, but I could hardly move, and it had been almost 21 hours since my last dose, so I tried it and it helped. The docs had no idea what the pain was caused from though. I did tell them about my Iodine and LDN. I doubt the doc understood about the Iodine, but I did tell him. Still, they couldn't tell me what was causing the pain. Later in the evening, the pain traveled to my back, specifically in my shoulder blades. Even later, I began hurting in my lower left leg. That nite, I had trouble falling asleep. When I was laying there, I would see little specks in the air. It was kind of like spiders flying around. I was watching things fly around in the air. The next day, there were little flashes of light flying around. I thought it was the thunderstorm, but it wasn't! Three days later, I am still seeing the spider things flying around. And sometimes, I still see the flashes of light, but it isn't as much as on Saturday. Has anyone else had anything like this happen with their eyes? I don't think it is from the narcotics. I am taking 150 mg. of Iodine at this point. I can't figure it out though. I can't see symptoms like this on the list. I have been up to 250 mg for ten weeks, twice. I have never had symptoms like this - EVER. If anyone has any thoughts or ideas, I would love to hear them. It just doesn't seem to fit that I would have these types of symptoms after being on Iodine this long. I am taking some supplements too - CRNA Bolouke and Researched Nutritionals Transfer Factor Plasmyc and a 2 phase liver cleanse from my doctor. I take all the companion nutrients too. And do the salt! I love it and don't lie drinking water without it anymore. Thanks for anyone's help. Guest guest
Your description makes me wonder if you were perhaps bitten by an insect -- probably without your knowing it -- because Lyme disease (or a " related " infection) could be one possible explanation for the symptoms you report.. In that case, any " hallucinations " , and odd pains, would be entirely normal.. I hope not, but if it gets worse, consider consulting an infectious disease specialist.... Guest guest
graceThink you should go to an Eye Doctor for a full eye exam, sounds like you are describing floaters in your eyes.Close your eyes and look at a light, you will see what looks like specks of dust or lint or spider webs that move around in your eye, that is what I noticed.Don't think it has anything to do with Iodine. Eye Doctor can explain what is happening, Don't take chances with your Eye's, they are the only ones you have.kmkFrom: tobdncng@... <tobdncng@...>Subject: Question about my eyes as a reaction to the IodineIodine Date: Tuesday, March 27, 2012, 8:43 PM Hi all, The last few days I have had some pain in my chest. Guest guest
Low adrenal or low blood sugar can both cause floaters. Have you has these checked recently? Guest guest
I agree, see your eye doc very soon. Floaters and flashers might be benign ( having the vitreous separate which is normal with age) but it might be a detached retina. If so, hours count! Guest guest
I googled "microscpic images of candiasis" and they looked exactly what I see as floaters. The flash's in the eyes I found was because my adrenalin was going high while just sitting in the chair and then my heart felt like it was going to pound out of my chest and felt dizzy and strange. What I do when I feel this coming on is I get up and try to burn off the adrenalin and it works every time and no more flash's of the greenish yellow lights. Just food for thought.
