Hi Lola,

If you have Lugol's there and a glass of water, why don’t you try it out and see how it tastes? =-)

One drop of 2% won't be too strong, but if you have 5% Lugol's it will be a bit stronger.

How does Lugol solution taste like?

I am thinking of mixing it with water for my kids and was wondering if anyone knows how one drop would taste like in a glass of water (or water with lemon). My kids don't eat apple sauce or yogurt and don't drink juice (just water and raw milk). So I am thinking of putting a drop in water a couple times a day. Thanks in advanceLola

I have iodoral for myself and I had just ordered lugol's solution to try.I am hoping to hear from other parents who tried or have other ways to get iodine into their kids consistently.Sent from my iPhoneOn Mar 25, 2012, at 1:32 PM, "Kathleen Blake" <kathleenblake@...> wrote:

Lola:

I thought the

same as you but worked my way from 1 drop of 5% Lugol’s per day for one

week to 16 drops per day in only ½ glass of water on an empty stomach.

It doesn’t

taste bad at all.

One drop in a glass of water is not noticeable.

I give my son (8) about 4-6 drops of 5% in about 1/4 cup of water. He does'nt

seem to mind it.

It has a rather metallic, bleachy taste, but my daughters, who are older, say

that magnesium tastes much worse!
