L Sent from my Verizon BlackBerry Weight Gain Hello all, I desperately want to put on a few pounds (I weight roughly 60). I'd like to be at a comfortable 75 or so, just so that I have meat on my bones if I were to get sick and rapidly lose weight. My problem is, I have the hardest time gaining weight EVER. Any suggestions? Thanks! -
Guest guest
I used carnation instant breakfast & Scandishake to put on a few pounds. However, I found I became very weak during the process and had to stop drinking them. I only put on 3 lbs, so I don't think it was the weight gain. I'm forever going to weigh 45 lbs, I guess. Guest guest
Alana, Would you please post the smoothie recipe? I can't open files on the iPod touch yet. Pass along any soup recipes, too! Amy Re: Weight Gain , I gained 3 lbs in 10 days by going from 900 calories a day to about 1300. I started with adding the banana smoothie recipe you can find in the files section of this group. I got sick of the smoothie but am adding 1-2 tsps of flaxseed oil to things like soups, rice, whatever I'm eating. 40 calories per teaspoon. My appetite increases when the foods are higher in fruits and vegetables. They're hard to chew and swallow but I'm doing great with pureed soups. I'm also drinking a Scandishake (400 calories) on days I'm not eating as much. They're not gritty if I make them an hour ahead of time. I started at 53 lbs. 5 weeks ago. I'm scheduled to be weighed Sunday morning. I'll let you know how it's going. Also, I figured out how much I was eating and what nutrients are missing by entering what I eat here: http://www.mypyramidtracker.gov/Default.htm Alana & gt; & gt; Hello all, & gt; I desperately want to put on a few pounds (I weight roughly 60). The molasses flavortakes a bit of getting used to, but it's so important for the potassium. Start with a teaspoon if it's too intense. Guest guest
I have another theory about weight gain. I suspected I had parasites that were attracting the mites. After being tested on the bio machine by the Nutritional Doctor, I tested positive for several. I am taking German herbs to target them and have been dropping weight weekly. My detox machine (ionizer) pulled the last of the black pepper looking mites out of my hands about 3 weeks ago. I don't see them anymore. Guest guest
There is correlation between weight gain and lyme medically documented. But there is also medical documentation linking obesity heart disease and diabetes to foods being consumed, and water. Pesticides, corn syrup, plastic, and trans fat which was pushed in the 80s as the safe replacement for butter and lard is a chemical the body cannot even process. The step Washington is making to examine the obesity problem from our water and food source will make the pharmaceutical people mad all the long term drugs they sell. http://www.mentalhealthandillness.com/tnaold.html http://www.healthandenvironment.org/articles/doc/6145 > > > > Lynn and others had written about weight gain, wanted to share this. > >http://shine./event/loveyourbody/why-you-cant-lose-those-last-10-pound\ s-1964849/ > >/ > > >

Guest guest
OH, yes. You put your feet in for 30-45 minutes. Which ever foot has the negative charge gets the cleaning. Then switch for the next session. Same for the hands. I alternate everyday between hands and feet. You poor the toxic waste in the (dish) tub down the toilet and then clean everything with soft scrub. Let dry. The machine has high, medium, and low. The high is too high as it pulls calcium out of your nails. Start with low. If it works, stay there. Medium is only for emergency treatment. The machine pulls parasites out of your body. Guest guest
Grace is almost 4 1/2 and she is still only 30 lbs. She is average on the charts for height, but in the last 2 years has taken a nose dive in the weight department. Overall, she is on the height/weight ratio chart at 6%. Her pediatrician said if she drops below 0 then they'll begin to worry. I chalked it up to her casting and/or bracing for a while as she would get full really quick, but she hasn't had either for the last month and we still can't get any weight on her and she eats A LOT! For example, 2 weeks ago we went to Olive Garden, she ate 5 (yes, 5!?!) helpings of salad, along with part of her kids meal. I give her higher calorie snacks whenever she wants them. I just hope she doesn't lose since we're going back into a cast after 6 mo out of it. I've considered getting her pediasure to increase her calories, but I'm afraid she'd like it so well that she'd fill up on that and not want to eat. The growing longer faster could be because of height gained by straightening of the curves. Grace had her biggest growth spurt height wise in the last year after her surgery and casting. Guest guest
The pioneer classifies infants w/ scoli by 2 types, the slender & sturdy phenotypes. Many children in the slender phenotype category are syndromic, and will always be slender. The sturdy phenotype has no syndromic diagnosis, no weight gain issues, and will respond to ET quicker. My daughter had serious weight gain issues, was considered slender phenotype & had the triple diagnosis of EDS, hip dysplasia & PIS. She remained at 24 lbs for about 3 yrs. Guest guest
We have seen a dietician. They recommended Pedisure and adding things to their diet such as extra butter, cream things like that to foods to boost calories. With my picky eater he noticed the taste and won't eat it. He will drink the Pediasure though. kfaul@... wrote: >Have any of you seen a dietitian? We are seeing a dietitian to see if she has any pointers. I don't think it will matter though. eats and eats. Guest guest
is a picky eater. She'll eat french fries, but she won't touch a tater tot or mashed potatoes. She won't eat hot dogs (what kid doesn't eat hot dogs?). About the only thing she'll eat is Mac & Cheese and Chicken Fingers (and they have to be Mickey Mouse shaped chicken nuggets from Costco). She's so picky - a few weeks ago we went to BJ's for dinner (a restaurant). On their kid's menu they have 'Kraft Mac & Cheese - straight from the box'. It's the only kind she'll eat at home. She wouldn't touch the stuff at the restaurant! (She did eat it the next day, because she thought I had made it). Addie has weight 25 lbs now for well over a year (she'll be 3 next month). Maybe for 1 1/2 years. I laugh, because she could still go into a Baby Bjorn! At least you all are making me feel better. It tough - some days, it feels like she won't eat anything. She might have a fruit leather, a glass a milk, and some Mac & Cheese, and that's it. - Dad to , nearly 3 years old. 47*, going for her first cast in January in SLC On Sat, Dec 18, 2010 at 5:02 PM, <missikay10@...> wrote:  We have seen a dietician. Guest guest
I'm sorry I'm a few days behind but my daughter has only gained 1 pound since going into a cast in July 2009. The doc hasn't been concerned since she is still growing in height and is not losing weight.
