Guest guest
Hello: I started Iodine in July and right away the TSH started rising which I thought was normal and that within about 6 months, it would go down. Steph says that MOST don’t rise. So what do I do now? I was taking 100 mg. of Iodone and now have dropped back to 50 mg. That decrease should make the TSH go back down. Is that idea? Steph’s words are in blue below. I just don’t know where to go from here. Is it important now to get the TSH back down? Aug. 2011 Nov. 2011 Feb. 2012 TSH 3.35 9.44 11.23 Free T4 (9 – 23) 13 13 11 Free T3 (3.5 – 6.5) 4.4 4.3 Ok, looking again I can see that your Free's have stayed the same but your TSH has increased and that would more than likely be iodine.
