Guest guest
Hi Theresa: Your breast tissue seems to be very active for your age. Have you had your hormones checked, especially the 3 Estrogens? Also, if I may ask, how much Progesterone are you using and are you taking a “hormone holiday” for a week each month? Thanks, Bonnie From: iodine [mailto:iodine ] On Behalf Of Theresa Sent: Friday, March 23, 2012 3:25 PM iodine Subject: Need advice: painful lumps on sides of breasts Hi everyone, I know I should be doing more research on my own, but I get so confused! I am taking 90 mg of Armour and 50 mg of Iodoral, along with progesterone cream. I am almost 47. My last thermogram showed increased thermal activity on the sides of my breasts and I have noticed increased, at times intense, pain and swelling of, what I assume, lymph nodes in those areas - when I palpitate them, they are easily felt. I do have fibrocystic breasts and one very discernable lump that was ruled out as cancerous by a sonogram and thermogram. The thermogram report said that the changes 'may reflect a change in the underlying fibrocystic activity, a more significant developing pathology cannot be excluded.' So I will be getting another sonogram. I know I should be rebounding - I have one of the 'good' rebounders' - and dry brushing as well. I just had my thyroid checked at my doctor and think I should get my own done as they said that my parathyroid didn't need to be checked as my calcium was fine, and that my pituitary didn't need to be checked, because if it wasn't working right, other things would be off in the blood work up. Also, I have been rubbing 15% Lugol's into my breasts with coconut oil as well as applying echinaea tincture/DMSO to the lumps - as it is supposed to help if they are infected. Guest guest
Hi, I had polycystic breast lumps and on occasion they became very painful. Fine needle aspirations showed they were inflamed - not infected or cancerous. The problem becomes - what is causing the inflammation? Guest guest
Hi Theresa, In my case possibly sugar. Looking back, as a child I came out in hives if I had sugar, tomatoes or strawberries. Although they do not give me hives now, the chances are I am still sensitive to them. It seems that the most appealing foods are those we should avoid! One thing that helped me a little was Evening Primrose Oil which suggests some of the problem may be too many refined omega 6 oils. It also toned down my chocolate cravings. The other is iodine - I still had lumps even after the menopause until I started taking iodine. Re: Need advice: painful lumps on sides of breasts Thanks for your reply, . Yea, good question. Guest guest
Thanks for the replys! , I also take Evening Primrose oil, plus flaxseed oil and cod liver oil. I have eliminated as many hydrogenated oils as I can think of. Sugar might be a culprit - I have yet to kick that habit. And it is weird that many of the things we love are just the things causing us problems. For it, it's coffee. I'm still grieving over it's loss. Bonnie, I've had my hormones checked, but it's been awhile - I'm due, I'm sure. Can we do our own test for that, thus avoiding having to deal with a doctor? Yes, I do take the 'hormone holiday' but I sometimes loose track of my days. I need to get a clear schedule made out so I don't get confused. I'm taking .1 ml/day. What would all this activity be an indication of? Any clues?? Thanks Theresa
