thanks for you post, though as you thought it would be, it was slightly

unnerving.

Our naturopath was treating us for lyme....and thinking back the muscle

I dont know how I would do cleanses on my kids, or how else I could

You asked me if I still used Opaline. No, I do not as I cannot afford everything. But when I used it, it helped me tremendously when I couldn't even function. I have so many other effective and/or cheaper methods of detoxing, that I don't need it for detox purposes. I also use the salt and c to transport the other things I am using. I mentioned earlier than Oxygen is able to penetrate any living thing, and this includes our cells. I was mainly using Opaline to transport the other things I was doing along with it. What I was taught was that during an inflammatory response, the cells become more rigid affecting the receptors and transmembrane potentials. Yikes...in other words, sometimes as with pharma drugs, they use the principal of a

carrier molecule of which in short is what I do with the salt and c instead of the oxygen.

About muscle twitching. Why is it twitching? Nerve conduction, mineral imbalance, immune response, toxin overload by whatever? In each of those then we come up with further questions. why, why, why? Yeah, it is un-nerving....lol a pun. But....if these things are small enough to penetrate our ears, nose, lungs, or go deep into tissues, something else is going on besides ectoparasitic infestation. Ectoparasites are just that. Oxygen breathers. How on earth can the oxygen breathing mite go that deep? Now we get into theory, of which there are many, but I am concerned with permanent relief. In staying on a more common sense approach, then wouldn't it make sense that the mites may transfer something? Why are so many of us suffering internally? Not all of us, but many of us?

Kids are so hard. The help and insight of a professional may just be worth a few consultations and the direction they can provide. Finances are such a huge issue with all of us, I can only say you must do what you feel is right. Not what anybody else thinks. I certainly don't want to inadvertantly influence that kind of decision in one direction or another.

I do want some of us to stop and really think about what may be going on with ourselves. It may or may not apply to anybody or everybody. Just consider.

Hi, Z! Are you using the 4-Herb generic Essiac tea? If so, perhaps

your kids would benefit from it, too. The instructions for children

from Herbal Healer Academy say " 1 teaspoon per 10 pounds of

bodyweight given 1-3 times a day depending on need. Best added to a

little broth or cream. "

http://www.herbalhealer.com/essiac.html

Herbal Healer Academy also has a homeopathic parasite detox for

children 1 year & up. Liquid drops - 2 ounces for $20.

" Safe for ages 1 year and up. I do not like to use any strong

herbals, especially wormwood, on children. They respond very well to

homeopathic formulations. Ages 1-3 - Use 3 drops under tongue or in a

little water twice daily. Ages 4 and above - Use 5 drops twice daily.

2 oz. bottle. "

http://www.herbalhealer.com/parasites.html

Marijah McCain was educated as a microbiologist & worked for a large

Canadian lab in the parasite & infection division before she became a

naturopath. She's been refining that for 30 years now. An interesting

& inspiring woman.

http://www.herbalhealer.com/marijah.html

Know how expensive a naturopath can be. Around here, it's $500 for

the initial consulation & that doesn't include labs or tests or any

supplements they may recommend. If my health insurance covered it,

I'd be there in a heartbeat. It doesn't, of course.

You can also " Ask the Naturopath " on Wednesday mornings from McCain's

website. http://www.herbalhealer.com/ask.php3

Trisha Springstead recommends pumpkin seed oil at the rate of 1 ounce

which equals 3 tablespoons a day. Can be taken as one dose in the

morning or broken into 3 doses of 1 tablespoon with a meal 3 times a

day. You can increase the dose to 2 tablespoons 3 times a day. She

says it tastes good & will clean the colon of any debris.

Haven't tried it yet as I've been taking the Colon Enhancer from

Herbal Healer Academy for the last 10 weeks. Think I'd sneak up on

the pumpkin seed oil dosages just in case it caused the runs.

Trisha says the Russians give the pumpkin seed oil to their children

as my mom gave me cod liver oil in the 50's.

Maybe that, along with the borscht beet soup keeps them healthy!

Best wishes, Sue

Is he on calcium? My son reacted like this to calcium. Taken him off it

and very slowly put him on K2. Our children have difficulty processing

calcium. They have an excess of it in their bodies and K2 will help to

channel it away from where it's causing damage, soft tissue, muscles and

brain to where it's needed - bones and teeth.

I have just seen a couple of posts on another forum linking eye poking

to Movicol (Miralax, it was an American forum) and I know of a mum here

whose son eye pokes. I told her about it and she feels that Movicol may

be the cause in her son's case too. Is he on Movicol?

Hi

my son is not on movicol, but has eye poke for years, even before biomed.

But thanks for your thoughts.

His eye poking went worst when I started gaps intro, and the twitching went

off the rails.

I have got back to scd, but will stop the calcium today and have ordered the

k2 see how it goes.

How long before i introduce the k2, and what dosage would you say, I have

ordered caps off mandimart,carlsons.

Sorry for all the questions.

The caps will be difficult to dose because you need to start with a very

tiny amount. It can be very reactive particularly for those that need it

most. I give drops. Does anyone else know how to dose the capsules?

Just wondered if anyone else gets this? I have this throughout most of my body

now - used to be just my legs. My GP says its the thyroid most likely causing

the problem.

Hi Lynne,

Yes, I get this too - thankfully just in my legs at the moment. It's usually

when I relax, most notably when I'm just going off to sleep. Does that sound

similar to yours?

Happy and healthy new year to you too!

My legs twitched as a teenager (I was a competitive swimmer) and it was due to an electrolyte imbalance and mineral shortage.

Same thing started up a couple of years ago, and it goes away when I get enough potassium and magnesium in my system. I take both on a regular basis.

Hi Sheila,

Finally got up the courage to ask about these tests (am I the only one

intimidated by GPs?) GP said they do not do transferrin saturation% as it is too

expensive, UNLESS the ferritin levels come back high.

I get this too, almost exclusively in my legs but just occasionally in my arms

and torso too. I have found magnesium to be amazingly effective at stopping it.

I've also discovered that on occasion, eating certain foods will stop it -

cheese, cashews and sesame seeds have all worked for me. But not always -

possibly depending on what you've eaten already - I think it's the tryptophan

that does it!
