Hi

Personally I take my Thiroyd in the morning when I get up about 8 and then again about 2 - but occasionally for a few days I get so tired quickly in the day that I take another half in the early evening - seems to work for me - then I go back to twice a day. I think it quite often depends on the individual - as usual from reading all the posts, it doesnt work for everyone the same.

Happy New Year.

Regards

Colleen

I'm in the process of increasing my erfa but how many doses do I need to split it throughout the day?

Hi ,I take mine all in one go at night before I go to bed and that works well for me (I'm taking 2 and a half grains)You might need to play around a bit to see what suits you bestDawn M From: <tanyaking32@...> thyroid treatment Sent: Sunday, 1 January 2012, 11:09 Subject: Dozing erfa

Usually, to start with, just two doses. One when you wake and

the other in the middle of the afternoon, to 'keep the engine topped up'. If

you have to increase it to larger doses, only then may you wish to try

splitting it into 3 or more doses. However having said that, each one of us

finds what works for us as individuials. Some take all the medicine in the

morning, others in the evening.

Increase your dose by 30mgs only to start with, and natural

thyroid extract can be increased by this amount every 3 to 4 weeks if you have

had no adverse reactions since the increase in dose before.
