Guest guest
Hi everyone Just come back from meeting with the consultant. Briefly I take t3 only (cynomel). I want to have a baby, i may be pregnant this month but cant test yet as its too soon but i am experiencing symptoms of being pregnant. I have no thyroid due to having thyroid cancer the consultant advised me to take t4 as the amount of t3 I take could be too much for the baby. She advised that a baby needs t4 and if I don't take the t4 the baby could develop abnormalities eg brain problems. I feel great on t3 only the best I have ever felt. Taking t4 levothyroxine made me so ill with so many symptoms I couldn't cope with. if I have to take t4 for 9 months then I will have to bear it but I know it's going to make me so ill. Can anyone help me ? Thank you Donna Is she right that I am going to have to go back on levothyroxine until baby is born ?
