Guest guest Posted January 11, 2012 Report Share Posted January 11, 2012 Hi , You sent a message yesterday stating " Forgot to say i took my second dose ERFA on the afternoon before the test 3 & half grains at about 3pm " and I took this to mean that you had taken 3.5 grains of Armour in the afternoon, and then had your blood drawn the same day. Shows how careful we must be in how we write things. Then sending the message today to say " Sheila i took my second dose on the afternoon the day BEFORE my test so no Erfa on the day blood was drawn " Apologies about the adrenal profile you had done - getting a bit bogged down with messages and the web site and unable to remember everything I have received - comes from being a great gran!. I have found your results again and sent them to Dr P and will get back to you as and when he telephones me. Luv - sheila Hi Sheila. I couldn't get back to you before now because he has been away up in Aberdeen doing his clinic there and has just got back. His response is: " Dear Sheila 's thyroid levels are much too high, of course and her adrenals would have been severely stressed by all this. She ought to start again really and be properly assessed. rT3 is probably very high because of her dosage. Love Barry " Have you reported this matter to Dr Skinner and if so, what did he say. Tell him that you were a patient of his and he will look up your notes and tell him what is happening to you right now and could he help by suggesting what might be happening. He might wish to look through all your notes first to get a picture of what you were like when he saw you, and then telephone you back. I am not being critical of anybody , we just need to get a full picture of why your cortisol secretion is so high and your thyroid hormones are so high to see if there is a missing piece of the jigsaw. You won't be abandoned, but we need to explore every possible avenue. And you are right, numbers on bits of paper are pretty useless when you are taking thyroid hormone replacement and treatment should be titrated according to symptoms and signs, but if you are getting symptoms of hypothyroidism with low temperature and your results are so very high outside of the range and your cortisol is so very high, this has to be investigated. You might wish to speak to Dr P about this too and if so, his number is 01883 623 125. I hope one of them can help you find the answer . Guest guest Posted January 17, 2012 Report Share Posted January 17, 2012 To save me having to go back to find your antibodies results, can you give me them again - and was the antibody test done at the same time you had your thyroid function test done by Genova and the Salivary adrenal profile - or were these done at a different time?
