Guest guest
when did you stop nax and when did the headache come on? if you took a nax, did the headache go? over how long have you been taking t4,t3, and nax? Chris > > Hi all, I was doing so well on 50mcg levo(taken at bed time) and 12.5 T3 > split into 2 doses(first at 2.30am then again at 2.30pm), I had stopped taking NAX as I had been on them for a while and I was told that you shouldn't stay on them for too long but, now I have the worst headache again, do you think it's due to stopping the NAX or due to too much or too little T3? I see the endo on thursday and intend to tell him that I have tried adding T3 and was going to tell him how well I felt! Any advice would be helpful X >
Guest guest
> > when did you stop > > > Hi I started the Levo on 16th september at bedtime, mentioned to endo that I had an ache in my kidney area on 10th november asked if it could be adrenal was told " no " so started on Nax the following day AM, after 10 days I added a 12pm dose. I then started to add T3 on 18th December 6.25 mcg in very early am to start then 8 days later I added another 6.25 mcg 12 hrs later, I have felt ok on this dose and felt no need to increase further for now but, I ran out of Nax on thursday, I noticed I was going to run out so decreased to one tablet for the last few days to lesson the shock. I am also taking Vit D3=800iu, magnesium=200mg, oil made up of fish-flax & starflower=1200mg vitC=2000mg, selenium=200ug, alpha lapoic acid=100mg and ashwaganda=300mg. Hope I havn't forgoten anything, thanks Chris. X
Guest guest
do you have any other symptoms apart from your headache Sue? you mention feeling better, would you feel ok if it wasn't for this headache? so were you ok until you lessened the nax? does your headache get beter or worse as the day goes on or after you've taken meds, or between doses? That might give us a clue. if it was too much t3 maybe it'd get worse after a dose, maybe better after a few hours? Does it get better after t4? have you got nax on order? chris
Guest guest
> > do you have any other symptoms apart from your headache Sue? > nearly all of my Hypo/fibro symptoms improved on adding t3, which the levo did not do on its own. The only remaining symptom is some residual tiredness and my painfull feet are still with me, It isn't policemans heal, it is a very sore bruised feeling all over the soles of both feet especially when I have to stand for any length of time. The headache has been with me all day with no real change, I take my t4 at bedtime and I woke up with this headache this morning. I think I will order some more Nax tomorrow just in case. Guest guest
it's hard to know what's going on isn't it. If it were me i'd carefully try a process of elimination. maybe the headache will go tomorrow anyway? some researcers have linked T2 [sic] to fibro, too, and said this is why fibro responds to NDT. T3 breaks down into T2, i gather. have you tried NDT? you can also buy T2 from bodybuilding websites, but i don't know how you'd dose with it. I guess ideally it's best to try NDT? did i mention bromelain to you before for your feet? I had plantar fasciitis and bromelain on empty stomach cured that very quickly. could your feet be weak if you've not been well for a long time and had to rest a lot? have you done dr hertoghe's questionnaire, it might give us some clues? http://www.hertoghe.eu/patients/index.php?option=com_content & view=article & id=131\ & Itemid=89 & lang=en sorry i hope what i've wrote makes sense and is helpful, i am very tired, so good night chris
Guest guest
Who on earth told you that you shouldn't split your Nutri Adrenal Extra into two doses Sue? Some people take up to 6 tablets daily, and that is one awful lot to take on one dose first thing in the morning. I have been taking Nutri Adrenal for years, and they give my adrenals all the vitamins and minerals they need to keep them healthy - I take 2 tablets daily as a maintenance dose. Also, why are you taking your T3 at 2.30a.m? If you are keen to try the protocol of taking T3 when your adrenals first start to secrete cortisol, this should be done around 4.30a.m. and NOT 2.30a.m. If you have low adrenal reserve, you should be taking NAE and boosting your adrenals before adding T3. It would be helpful if you told us how much Nutri Adrenal Extra you were taking. Are you saying that you split 12.5 mcgs T3 into two doses. 12.5 mcgs is the teeniest dose of T3 - so I doubt that is the cause of your headache. How long have you been taking T3 and what made you decide to start it in the first place. Luv - Sheila Hi all, I was doing so well on 50mcg levo(taken at bed time) and 12.5 T3 split into 2 doses(first at 2.30am then again at 2.30pm), I had stopped taking NAX as I had been on them for a while and I was told that you shouldn't stay on them for too long but, now I have the worst headache again, do you think it's due to stopping the NAX or due to too much or too little T3?
