Guest guest
Sunshine, you should have a look at pauls book " recovering with t3 " http://www.amazon.co.uk/Recovering-T3-Journey-Hypothyroidism-Thyroid/dp/09570993\ 04/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8 & qid=1326900091 & sr=8-1 It has ALOT of very fine detail in T3 dosing. I think it would be just the type of thing you are after. It also describes in detail when to take T3 to give the most affect to your adrenals " main cortsiol production window between 4-8am " Steve > > Can you point me in the direction of some good information about taking T3 only supplements. Guest guest
Hello Sunshine You need to read 's very recently published Book 'Recovering with T3'. Read information about this book here http://recoveringwitht3.com/. is a member of TPA and has helped a tremendous amount of people to get back on the road to recovery after they tried every other form of thyroid hormone replacement. If you live in the UK, I have a copy of his book in our TPAS Members library if you would like to borrow it. This costs the price of postage only, so you send stamps to the value of £.3.00 (just put this up by 10p to round up the figure) to me, giving me your full name and address and I will send the book out to you. Try not to keep the book too long though, because it is proving very popular and others could well be waiting to borrow it too. Send to Sheila Squirrel Cottage Ickornshaw Cowling Nr Keighley BD22 0DH North Yorkshire. Luv - Sheila I had a good chat with Dr P this afternoon. Looks like maybe my body is unable to turn T4 into T3, so i might have to go onto T3 only supplements. I will do some experiments with ACE and Armour first, bcoz i have been armour and ace free for 30 days now. He said maybe it is because my body has become toxic with hormones, (from the incorrect dosing)and that they are now stored around my body and any extra hormones causes these stored hormones to be released and cause all these problems. Can you point me in the direction of some good information about taking T3 only supplements. The more detailed the better. Any books that discuss it would be helpful too. Sunshine. Guest guest
You have to be realistic sunshine and realise that if you one of the glands is not producing the hormone that it should, or the h hormone that it is producing is not converting to the active thyroid hormone T3, that you have to take that missing hormone. There is NOTHING else you can take. However, some people are happy with natural thyroid extract as it contains all the hormones they need, but for some of us, we don't need the mainly inactive thyroid hormone T4, so our body just needs T3. You cannot get natural T3 on its own, so you have to take the synthetic. There are no alternatives. Luv - Sheila Thanks mate Are there any alternatives? Guest guest
Hi Sunshine I can really identify with what you're going through as I've crashed in exactly this way several times. Interesting to read what Shiela did about it when it happened to her. mentions similar experiences in his book. I've actually bought the book and, if you can afford to do so yourself, I'd really recommend it (get it from amazon) as it's the type of manual you need to refer back to time and time again. I suspect for me my crashing is a mixture of adrenal and nutrient deficiency issues. 's book is excellent on explaining the science behind the nutritional issues, which has helped me enormously. My GP has just prescribed me t3 only. I'm coming off the t4 and NAXs to clear them all out of my system and start again very very slowly. No real answers for you, but lots of good wishes as it's a horrible dilemma to find yourself in, especially when you know you're desperately hypo but can't do anything about it.
