Guest guest
Hi, so atm im on hc/florinef/T3 while im on my anti fungal program. But last nite something a bit wierd happened. My body started to produce cortisol. I had my last hc/t3 at 8pm 5hc and 25 T3, now usually i would feel tired around 11/12 pm and head off to bed. But last nite i felt wide awake and i knew my body was producing cortisol as i needed to pee quite a few times between 8pm and 4am. I didnt feel tired or the need to take any hc and i managed to get to sleep around 4am. Any ideas why this would just happen one day ? Because usually if i dont take any hc at around 11/12 i would be falling asleep due to tiredness. Cheers Steve
Guest guest
Steve - maybe it wasn't cortisol but adrenaline? That's more likely to keep you awake. Many of us produce adrenaline as a kind of last resort if we are low on cortisol. (Adrenaline is produced in the inner part of the adrenal gland, which often is still OK in autoimmune 's). Also, needing to pee a lot suggests you were LOW on aldosterone or cortisol, not producing MORE cortisol. I don't know your medical situation, but if you have primary 's, then consuming a lot of potassium (e.g. many veggies)might have upset your electrolyte balance and make you pee to try to eliminate it. Guest guest
Steve - whoops, I got confused hen I saw HC/florinef/cortisol and forgot that this is a thyroid forum, not an 's forum. Sorry! I've mostly been following 's forums since I was recently diagnosed with it. Barb L. > > > > Hi, so atm im on hc/florinef/T3 while im on my anti fungal program.
