Guest guest
Hi all I marrying to combat my depression without taking antidepressants as I don't do well on them. First of all I started on omega 3 by a week I felt worse more emotional and over the place with sever brain fog could not think I stopped them. Then i had a vit d teat taken which the result was 38 I thought I'd take d3 as that is known to help combat depression within day 5 my face is puffy I'm more emotional and I'm all Over the place with severe brain fog. The question is is this normal to maybe feel worse before feeling better I don't know to stop the d3 altogether and give up as I Not getting anywhere. Or maybe to at least give it a month Has this happened to anyone before x
Guest guest
Hi, ! My first question is - how is your thyroid? Depression and brain fog are classic signs of hypothyroidism (as is edema (puffy or moon face!)). Doctors are very quick to throw drugs at a symptom without looking too hard for the cause of the symptom. If you are on this list, you probably have thyroid issues already, yes? Look there first. If you know your Vitamin D is low the best solution is to get out in the sun a little. It seems like everyone on this list is in the UK so that might be a little tricky at the moment! Exercise is a great way to combat depression, if you can do it. Any kind of sport is helpful, too, if it gets you out and about and involved with others. When I was younger and feeling low I would sometimes either just put on some music and dance or put on my roller blades and skate around the house doing my chores. I need to look for that 50s dance music! Food allergies can cause brain fog and depression, too, just make you feel kind of not-right, you know? Take a look at your diet - what are the three things you can't contemplate giving up? Then give one of them up ! - for a week. You may be surprised and see enough benefit to want to give it up longer. I am afraid I am learning this lesson myself right now. I don't know if it is an allergy or what but I recently, finally, took dairy out of my diet. I felt better within a couple of days - more calm! Are you getting the sleep you need - but not too much? Are you watching the news? (stop that!) Best guess is, with so little info, that you may not have your thyroid optimized. Hopefully someone else can help too, maybe someone who knows your situation. Another thing you might look into is EFT - there are free instructions online, just google it. It's very helpful for a number of things. At any rate, good luck! Guest guest
Oh, a new mom. First, congratulations! Many women do experience a terrible sadness after a birth. I don't think it's your whole problem but it is certainly part of it. Just remind yourself it will pass - or the worst of it will. Your hormones need to sort themselves out. Plus new moms have all kinds of new and overwhelming stresses. I think they call it the baby blues. Do whatever you need to to help yourself through it -mainly do not let your crazy body convince you things are terrible or hopeless. Affirmation: no matter how bad you feel, it is just a feeling and it will pass. My whole reproductive life I was depressed/a little crazy 1-2 days a month. I finally, finally recognized this and just knew to wait it out. I did not argue with anyone or take offense on those days and my life improved immeasurably. I do strongly recommend eft and also a good program of affirmations. Shall I send you privately what I can find?
