You should supplement with Vitamin D3 especially in the winter. You could take 2000 iu. It's very good for many things, not least protecting you against cancer.

21?? Holy moly, you need to supplement!

Most ranges seem to be around the 75 mark for minimum with no upper limit.

That's the range I've been given on the tests I've had.

21 is horribly low - I was having trouble when mine was 45! At that level my

then endo suggested taking 60,000IU per week for 3 months - I suggest you do

similar. My GP wouldn't prescribe that much and I got nowhere - so I put myself

on around 50,000IU a week with strong supps and in 2 months got it up to 73.

I used the Solgar one but if you go on ebay you can get stronger - I'm now on

5,000IU capsules (two a day with it being winter, will be on one a day in

summer), but you can also get 50,000IU capsules on there. I would go high level

with this - 21 really is very, very low.

Niki, mine was 21 with the BOTTOM of my range being 20 not 75 :P No idea why it

would be so different tho. But there was no upper ref range either.

So i was just above range by one but it would be nice to know the upper range if

its 25 then not so bad, if it was 100 then im miles away! I've started taking

4000ui 4x the tablets i have for now.

Please check which Vitamin D test was used and the reference ranges.

There are two vitamin D tests -- 1,25(OH)D and 25(OH)D.
