Hall > Why is it that the nurses seem to give people a harder time than the doctors?! When my ds was born the doctor didn't really care if I refused the HepB, I told him I knew the risks, etc. The nurse assigned to me was completely indignant. I was about ready to punch her. Once I got it through her thick scull that she nor anyone was going to change my mind she was the coldest rudest nurse in the hospital. A week or so after ds was born they stopped recommending it at birth (thimersol issue) and I wondered what the know-it-all nurse thought then. I sent a letter to the hospital explaining how I was treated. I don't know if it did anything but at least I felt better. =) Next time (if there is a next time) I think I'll just stay home. =) mom to , & Isaac

Hall>Isn't that the truth about a lot of the nursing staff! I took Miranda to a new doctor for a late 6 month check-up (she's 8 months now) and I had three different nurses give me the nastiest looks when I informed them that my baby was not getting any shots that day, or any day in the foreseeable future. Whatever. Let them think I am a moron. I can live with this decision, and I sleep better at night knowing that I am not putting my daughter through the potential risk of vaccinations. Angeline.
