Guest guest
Hi Firstly, thank you very much for your book - so much information and so thouroughly researched and easy for a hypo brain to understand! I've been struggling for years to find a thyroid med that doesn't just make me feel worse and my new gp has suggested I try t3. I'm currently on a break from meds to run the t4 in my blood down and will start the t3 next week (if I can hang on that long!). I've also been taking NAX for the past 9 months, having had a saliva test which showed low cortisol throughout the day as well as low DHEA. I've tested negative for addisons and adrenal antibodies. I don't feel the NAXs have done much for me and I suspect if I went back to Dr P who put me on them, he might suggest hc. I don't really want to go down that route. As I'm starting t3 and have been off the NAXs for a week to re-test my adrenals (just waiting for the kit to come through), I thought maybe I could give the circadian method a go. So, a couple of questions if I may: 1) have you seen this work for anyone with adrenal problems, no matter how bad (so long as it's not addisons of course)? I suppose what I'm getting at is - is there a cut off point at which you'd say, you're adrenals are too fatigued for this to work? 2) should I start from the beginning with using the circadian method, or just take the t3 in divided doses, starting with when I wake up, for a while first to see if that helps by itself? Thanks very much Susie
