Guest guest
Hello Can anyone help interpret the results of my Genova Diagnostics 24hr salivary cortisol test please, see results below Cortisol Sample 1, 15.7 (range 12-22) Sample 2, 3.6 range (5.0-9.0) Sample 3, 3.1 (range 3.0-7.0) Sample 4, 2.8 (range 1.0-4.0) tOTAL daily cortisol 25.2 (Range 21-41) DHEA Sample 1, 0.13 L Sample 2, 0.21 L DHEA Mean 0.17 (Range 0.30-1.00) DHEA Cortisol ratio 0.67 (1.0-4.0) ADRENAL STRESS STAGE: Resistance stage 3-Maladaption: generally reflects " pre-exhaustion or pre-adrenal fatigue " Usually DHEA levels fall before cortisol levels are reduced. Often as a result of an inability tp balance chronic stressors or poor adaptation to intensive acute stressors. This pattern would indicate a stateof long term stressors depleting adrenal reserves. Stress analysis and adrenal support & RESORATIVE MEASURES ARE EXCEEDINGLY IMPORTANt. Can anyone suggest what I do to help myself. I sleep very poorly despite taking melatonin, I already supplement with B vitamin complex, selenium, Vit C, Vid D & iron. I am stresses about not being able to get well properly! I am currently on 150 mcg Levothyroxine and am convinced that my poor sleep is due to the Levo, has anyone else experienced this? Could the poor sleep be anything to do with low DHEA? Thanks for reading, any advice appreciated! Sue
