Hi, just wanted to ask a quick qestion.

I've just come off 15 Isocort after being on it for 1 1/2 years and I came off

it over the period of about 2 months.

I want to get re tested with a saliva test to see where I stand and whether my

adrenals have improved or not.

I've been off the Isocort totally about a week now and I'm excessively

exhausted. I was very tired ON the Iscort and often slept until lunchtime but

OFF the Isocort and the tiredness/weariness is huge.

I've literally slept all day today.

I don't want advice like you need HC or to go back on Isocort as that's not my

intention (at least not until I get re tested). I just want to know if this

exhaustion after coming off steroid based things is somewhat normal and if it'll

improve??

I've spoken with Dr P about what I'm doing but I seem to have gone downhill

since then with the absolute exhaustion, also constant headaches.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Hannah

I don't know how strong Isocort is as compared to Cortef, but I weaned myself

gradually off 30mg Cortef (hydrocortisone) without any recurrence of adrenal

fatigue. So I would say, no, it is not " normal " .
