Hi there, I am new to this group. I suspect that my daughter has Hashimoto's but

need to conduct a full blood profile. We are in london and so far I've struggled

to find a paediatric endo who understands thyroid. NHS is no help, as my

daughter's TSH at the last test was within range, yet she has antibodies. Does

anybody know an endo in London who also treats children? Thanks a lot

Hello

andra and welcome to our forum where I hope you get the help and support

you need. Have you tried Great Ormond Street - see http://www.gosh.nhs.uk/medical-conditions/clinical-specialties/endocrinology-information-for-parents-and-visitors/meet-the-team/

or

try http://search.doctoralia.co.uk/paediatric-endocrinology-london

Hope

these help.

Why

won't your GP test to see if your daughter has thyroid antibodies? These are

TPO and Tg. Has she been tested to check her levels of TSH free T4 and free T3?

Do other members of your family have a thyroid or autoimmune disease?

Luv

- Sheila

Hi andra,

I would be very interested to hear how you get on as I am keeping a watchful eye

on my 14 yr old daughter.

I have the same history - all of my great grandmothers sisters (6) had thyroid

disorders. My mother and father also do and then there is me so I am really

hoping my daughter takes after her father and not me!!

Kind regards

Emma x
