Guest guest
, I wonder if you could confirm that I have converted my Reverse T3 result which was in ug/L to pmol/L correctly please? It was 0.26 ug/L and I make it 399.4 pmol/L. My Free T3 was 3.7 - which gives a ratio FT3/RT3 of 9.3. The professor I'm attending said it wasn't necessary to convert, he just divided RT3 into FT3 ( 3.7 ÷ 0.26 ) and got 14.2. He said this is below 20 and started to treat me, which is fine. But I'm wondering when my Reverse T3 decreases, he may think my ratio is okay on his calculations, i.e. without the conversion. Many thanks in advance. You need to carry on for at least 12 weeks on T3 to clear RT3. The RT3 levels will get very low in the blood long before the receptors clear and the resistance shifts so don't let him stop just because the ratio is OK now. Guest guest
Thanks Nick. Hopefully he knows what he's doing. I'm just over 7 weeks on T3 now:20 mcg T3 for one week 40 mcg for 5 weeks60 mcg since 18th Jan.He asked for a Reverse T3 test last Thursday (19th), it'll take a few weeks before I get the result. He initially said it would take about 3 months but last week (maybe because I'm feeling so ill) said it could take 6 months. Many thanks for your reply.Regards,NoreenOn 26 January 2012 19:49, Nick Foot <lists@...> wrote: On Thu, 26 Jan 2012 10:33:27 -0000, you wrote: > >I wonder if you could confirm that I have converted my Reverse T3 result which was in ug/L to pmol/L correctly please?
